There's a huge difference between being "computer literate" and knowing how to open a folder on your computer...
A folder is a place in your file system where you can put files.
Example of folder icons
To open "fretsonfire/data/song"
If you're using windows: open "My Computer" go on the drive you installed fretsonfire on (if you don't know where you installed it...try C:)
Once on your c drive, find the FretsOnFire folder, it is where you installed it (if you don't know where you installed it...try to look in the Program Files)
Once you opened the FretsOnFire folder, open the data folder.
Once you opened the data folder, open the songs folder
if there are no songs folder, create one (right click > new > folder)

What version of fof are you using?
Are you using any mods?
Does this happen with every song?
Did any error message come up?
What do you have in the fretsonfire text document in Start > Run > %appdata%/fretsonfire/ (Not the configuration settings file).
Mike.

Ah, = full of bugs, it is recommended that you do this-
If you have a load of songs already and dont want to delete them, then move them out of the folder before you do this.
Delete your current fof,
Delete your fretsonfire.ini, and the fretsonfire text document (Start > Run > %appdata%/fretsonfire/)
Download this (full playable release of 1.2.451 with RF-Mod)- https://www.fretsonfire.org/cgi-bin....id97231
If you dragged your songs folder out, drag it into this,
Try that,
Mike.

Guys, this is Tech Support forum. If you want to help those that need it, then great!
If you don't want to help, don't complain about the question, don't "vote to lock a thread," and DO NOT post just to make the other person feel stupid! Just move on! Being a jerk doesn't contribute anything. This should go without saying.
