The 1.0 version of the RF mod is here.

From the README.txt

RF-mod 1.0

Features:
Song Folders in play menu and editor menus
Song Timer during song play
More information in song results
Toggle for alternate key settings in game settings menu (you can swap easily between keyboard and GH controls)
Toggle for disabling animated flames in video menu (can reduce CPU usage)
Toggle for disabling preview songs in audio menu (reduces cpu/memory in song selection)
Memory cleanup (less memory leaks)

In order to install this mod you will need to

1) Be running Frets on Fire 1.1.324 on Windows (no linux version yet)
2) Back up the 'library.zip' file you find in the 'data' subdirectory
3) Replace the 'library.zip' file with the one included here.
4) Copy the 'folder.dae' file into the 'data' subdirectory

Here's a pretty picture of the folders:

You can download the current version of the mod:

From here

And remember to read the README.txt

Please any replies, comments or questions on this thread. I will be duplicating this information in the completed mods thread for reference.

I would like to thank FoZZ for creating the folder guitar case. It looks really nice. Label support for this coming soon. It would have been in this version but FoZZ's machine seem to have died so it will take him a while to recover.

New features coming soon hopefully. Also the source diffs are included and I will be submitting them to the authors to see if some of these can be rolled into the next version.

The diffs are in there, you can apply them yourself.

I just don't have a build environment on my linux box for python and opengl

Its just like life. Quite interesting in parts, but no substitute for the real thing.

Dammit, it's not letting me edit again...

By the way, could you allow us to chance the sorting mode? For example, sometimes I'd rather have the songs sorted by artist, then by song... etc.

As Rogue has said, my main macine with all the files on it has had a major breakdown, can't be bothered to go into it, but it'll probly be a couple of days till its up and running again.

When it's sorted there will be a new release, with a far more optimised guitar case (looks the same but will load way faster), label support for the cases and possibly some new keys which will have te ability to use more than 1 colour - this needs testing, so no promises on that last part, but I see no reason why it shouldn't.

I'll check out the song preview disable not working. I thought I had verified it but I did make some code cleanup changes for the diff so maybe I broke it.

I will fix this in the next version.

If you look at the TODO.txt you'll see other stuff I am working on.

Likely candidates are:

PNG labels for folders
song preview disable
realtime percentage display
virtual folders
>2 note down converter
in song pause

And some other things.

The random song selection probably will not get done, It probably needs a song database. I could do a random song in the current folder, but not all folders easily.
