I have been messing around with the neck file a bit. Today I was trying to change the colors of the default neck file and overlay it on one of SniperFox's wood skins. Everything looked good in inkscape, but in the game there were big gaps in between the copies of the image.

Has this happened to anyone else? I did almost the same thing before:

and it worked fine.

Yep, that fixed it. Thanks!

Here's the file if anyone's interested:

aeeburningwoodneck.zip 629.12 (KB)

If you want to use it with a different color, just download Inkscape (It's free: www.inkscape.org), open the neck.svg file and change the colors.

How do you get those fret things to be circles instead of the usual squares?

The notes and keys are FozZ's creations and are available in this thread:

Hey man, I'm a noob with this, and I really tried to make the flames look like the first pic you posted, but I don't know how to do it. Can you upload it for me, or at least tell me how to do it (with that program you said). Thanks in advance.

It's a bit confusing, I'm pretty nublicious with it myself, but basically there are two elements to the flames, the outline and the gradient (The inside part) There is a tool on the left side bar, second from the bottom I think with a picture of two squares connected by a line. Click that, then click inside the flames.

If you did it right, you will see above the image a box with the purple gradient in it next to the word "Change" to the right are two buttons, click the one that says "Edit" There are three colors in the gradient, selectable from the drop down menu at the top of the menu that pops up, where it says stop3018 or whatever. Select each one and pick the colors you want. In the first pic, I used, red, orange, and red again.

Once you're done with that, close the gradient box and click the arrow tool at the top of the left hand side toolbar. Click on the outline somewhere to select it. Make sure the selection box appears around just the flame, not the whole wood part, or just the inside gradient. Then just click on the color you want from all the little colored squares down at the bottom.

If you mess up at any time, just press Ctrl+Z to undo. Inkscape has multiple undo levels so you can go back a bunch of steps if you make a mistake.

Good luck modding
