Rock Band 2 Rips ? - There're some early copies out so?

After two day analysis and hexediting im extracted all 84 RB2 tracks with mids and few other mogs like tutorial samples . menu music (can find upload in mod section). But i have bad news for all. Rock Band 2 allready not possible to rip.

Details:
Mid files - fully ripable
menu muisc . tutorial . one rb1 song included in disc - ripable because crypted using old key
rockband 2 moggs - allready not ripable because harmonix using for this new encryption key

Without finding this key you cant convert moggs , need someone very good in C++ who can check new encryption headers find key and modify xorloser source code songcrypt.cpp and compile new SongCrypt.exe

If you upload the .mid files at least we could use them to make our own songs until the rips are decrypted.

yea, cama, have you tried contacting xorloser? he'd best best for the job, it is his tool.

i'm not sure how you'd track him down though, he doesn't have an email on his webpage or anything. maybe he still goes on scorehero, i'm not sure

At this point I'll settle for the .mid files.Anyone can at least use them to be playable.
You can use Audacity to make your own mp3s into oggs.
Add a song.ini,fire up EOF (or whatever editor you use) to synch the notes.
And you're done.
Not the optimal solution but that's what I'm doing with the GH:OT songs and it's working fine.
Obviously we would like the rips but this is better than nothing.
Whatever the outcome of this I want to thank Cama for all of his hard work and for Pinball Wizard...I have been drooling over this song for months.

The advantage of riped originaly content ist to have well fretted songs and seperated tracks (Drums/guitar/bass).

Custom or selfmade songs were often well fretted, but without seperated tracks....... you have only one track.....

If we can rip the *.mid files und put them togehter with own Song-files, then we have imo custom songs...... but we need to generate the *.oggs for each instrument...

Has RB2 a Practice-Mode? Can we record manually every instrument alone in this Practice Mode and generate the oggs?

my bad, that's what I meant. World tour will be out soon, and I'd like to see a few rips from that as I can only buy one overpriced game and RB is my choice

I don't think that stores can sell the game until Sunday. My Bestbuy won't. I tried downloading the torrent. I've never done this before, so what files do I need and how do I open and compile them. I want to play the game tommorow morning hopefully since I can't wait until Sunday. And should the torrent be taking this long if I started when it was posted. It is 53% done. Can I have anymore information on this?

first thing, you need a modded 360 to play it since your going to have to run an unofficial disc. if you don't have one, your wasting your time
