How do you turn off the annoying star power? Or atleast get rid of the sound?!?!

My Star Power doesn't work either. Someone help? It's on 1024x768 resolution, I've tried it windowed and full screen, and yes I have star power/overdrive and I mapped it to a whole bunch of keys, it just doesn't work.

Also, what does Killswitch do?

You're supposed to use whammy for the killswitch, and it's a temporary solution for the whammy I guess. It's self explanatory... you use the whammy to activate a switch that kills (or cuts off) the sound until you bring the switch (whammy) back to it's original position.

Ok I'm a noob at this game and am wondering if the mod already comes with songs or if you have to get the songs from somewhere?

Great Mod.
Couple of things though... I didn't like the fact that the GHIII theme used the RB stars(i'm anal like that)... so i made my own... they are nice little five-pointed black/red nautical stars...

I also know that a lot of people have been complaining about the note tails... I personally didn't like the way they were done because held notes were REALLY hard to see at higher resolutions and faster speeds... mostly because the tails were about as wide as the vertical note lines... so after some tweaking and resizing i fixed that...

Again those are MINOR and almost insignificant... Great Job.

EDIT: I uploaded my tweaks if anyone is as anal as i am but too lazy to fix it themselves... LINK. Just extract and replace the GHIII Background Fixes folder in 'data/mods'

Hehe... Its really no big deal.
You should be thanking DS~ and Ultimate_Coffee... They did all the hard work... I just made some minor tweaks that are really insignificant... unless you pay really close attention to things...

For anyone not getting Star Power, I fixed it. You have to do the %appdata% thing. Go to Start, Run, and type in EXACTLY this (the last person listen ampersands instead of percentage signs):

%appdata%\fretsonfire

Click OK, and a folder will pop up. DELETE fretsonfire.ini.

Go back and play. You will have to reconfigure the controls first, but it works. God, that was annoying.

I've seen it posted for the HOPO fix, not Star Power. And when I saw it posted it was posted wrong. So I thought I'd help out the people confused as to why star-power/overdrive wasn't working.
