So. This is the moment you have all been waiting for. My 8-Bit Mod is finally finished and I am now bringing it to you. This is my first mod... ever... and i'm really happy with how it turned out.

A few quick thanks:
DS~ and Alarian for obvious reasons.
txf for the awesome 8-Bit concert drawing that is now the Main Menu background... and inspired my Options background
roliwood73 for the pixelated Hitflames, Hitglow and Lighning graphics... and some kickass backgrounds that can be found HERE
All those of you who offered help/advice/ideas/support

All you guys kick ass.

Features:
>All new graphics inspired by various old videogames.
>New menu music.
>New in, out, and crunch sounds.
>New neck.

So... Now on to the good stuff. SCREENS :D

***INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS***
1. Download the mod.
2. Back up your GH3 Theme folder
3. Extract the archive to somewhere
4. Rename the neck to whatever your current number is. Then drop the neck into your data/necks folder
5. Copy all the files from the 16-Bit folder and paste them into the GH3 Theme folder to overwrite the defaults.
6. Play!

It should be also noted that Alarian offered to include this mod into version 1.5 of his mod as a separate theme for low-end machines... So soon you won't have to replace entire folders of files to enjoy this goodness. :D
UPDATE: This mod is now a theme for Alarian 1.5 and older.

DOWNLOAD (Mediafire)
MIRROR (MIHD)

So now download, enjoy, and comment.

EDIT:
***Patch Released!***
Patch updates:
>Fixed Rockmeter to look more 8-bit and less flash animation-ish
>New pixelated Lightning, Hitflame, and Hitglow graphics by roliwood73

You can get the patch HERE

Just extract the archive and copy/paste the files into your 8bit theme folder.

Note: Alarian Mod 1.8b and older now features these fixes.

HOLY FAKKING HELL THIS IS AMAZING. lol. Can't wait to show this off to everyone as a fun thing to play. I might even start always playing like this because it's just that cool and brings back so many memories. ;P
Life would be so much easier if we just had the damn source code.

Hmm... It looks pretty cool, but there are a few graphical errors. Do you mind if I fix?

I put this in as a separate theme in 1.5... it was alot of code to change and I missed something because the setlist had no text, but I'm sure I'll have it debugged for tomorrow

If you're talking about the stuff i think you're talking about... then it has been fixed... those screens are of the version before i made the final tweaks. Also... i did this on a wide-screen laptop so if the images look stretched its because of the resizing i did to post on the forum
But still... feel free to do whatever you like with it. :D
