RF-mod-4 Discussion - Questions, suggestions, whining

Problem, or suggestion or something.

I used to play FOF through the LAN in one of my PC's. So my sister and I we both can share the scores in just one copy of the songs library. But with the new version the game doesn't works trough network. I Think it's because of the library.zip. But my question is: Can I tell the game to pick the songs in a netwok address?

I don't mind to have 2 different FOF installed, but I don't want to have my songs duplicated... I hope you can undertand what I'm saying... hehe

Using RF-mod you can share a song directory from a network share.


I do this at home.

In fretsonfire.ini

[game]

base_library = \\host\share\Whatever\Frets On Fire Songs

inside the directory 'Frets On Fire Songs' should be a directory called 'songs'

I tried something similar but it didn't worked... I must be blind I didn't see that line.

mm i tried that bu somehow it didn't worked....i have rf-mod 4.12, only that, i dont have capo's mod, maybe thats it, i don't know....when FoF 1.3 comes out with everything in ill try that again i guess... thanks

Worms are supposed to slow down your computer.
After downloading RF-Mod 4, my computer didn't slow down a smidge.

is there a way to start FoF from the command line where it takes you to the song difficulty selection and then from there you can pick how hard you want it and what part you want to play? i use GameEX as a front end for FoF on my arcade machine and right from the command line all i can get it to do is start the song automatically on the hardest difficulty and it doesn't allow me to select which part i want to play or 1 player or 2.

Dont use the newest version, that is full of bugs, and it's therefore recommended that you do this-

If you have a load of songs already and dont want to delete them, then move them out of the folder before you do this.

Delete your current fof,
Delete your fretsonfire.ini, and the fretsonfire text document (Start > Run > %appdata%/fretsonfire/)

Delete your fretsonfire.ini, and the fretsonfire text document [size=133](Start > Run > %appdata%/fretsonfire/)[/size]

I've just started with FoF and its various mods, and I must say it looks great so far.
Kudo's to you guys and everyone thats involved.

I have an issue though.
For some reason RF-Mod isnt picking up my Picks. Ive tried it in FoF (the .451, or something version) and they worked.
Any Ideas?

I currently have my Pick set up as Down and alternate set as Up (Which I would like to keep since im using my Wii Guitar via GlovePIE)
Up and Down dont even work if i try with the actual keys (rather than from controller). Everything works in the menus though

Ehm, the option to upload scores disappeared somehow, any idea how I can get it back?
When using the GH 3 visual style, I really love the look of the hopo's; is there a way to get the same look for them into RF 3.5 for 1.1? I'd really love that (and rightly pwn some songs).
