Could there be a way to have a career mode

it would be kinda cool, get the permission from some custom song maker users, and tier them, seems easy

Just imagine there is a career mode, and challenge yourself. Make sure you have a certain % or something on one set of songs before you can move on to a next set. You don't need the game to have it, career mode isn't anything super special / out of the ordinary. It's just structure as to which songs you beat, then fake $$ for stuff you're not going to see when you play. Using your imagination wouldn't truly be any different :p

You'd have to get major support from the song makers, which isn't likely. And I imagine you'd want to implement a store sytem, currency, and stuff like that to go hand in hand. Also doubtful.
