I know this would need a lot, and I mean A LOT of coding, but something that would be pretty cool to have and WAY easier to download songs individually through a browser, would be an option probably in the main menu or something that would bring you to a page showing you different stuff to download, like the song database, and different mods.
I guess we would have to wait for FOF to get online for this first.
Also, I was wondering, is there another song database? because the FOF Wiki one is driving me crazy. It looks like it's almost NEVER updated, and i KNOW that there's more FOF songs than that.
In-game song database/ download?

Re: In-game song database/ download?
It's not updated because most people aren't ambitious enough to sign up for the Wiki and edit it. One of the bigger problems with having built-in songs is the file hosting. Would somebody donate or pay for server space and bandwidth for everybody's charts? Otherwise FoF would have to be able to interface with hosting sites like MegaUpload (like the program JDownloader), which would not be an easy feat. Plus, it would put more legal pressure on FoFiX itself instead of the community that shares the charts.
Overall, I think that the risk and work it would take would make it not worthwhile to pursue.

Re: In-game song database/ download?
having a song database where you can actually DOWNLOAD SONGS (such as on disc RB songs, or Guitar Hero DLC) is illegal, and the mods AND devs will not endorse or make code for this option.
HOWEVER!!!!
We (legally) can create a song database that contains links, MIDI HASHES (i hope i'm getting this right, i'm going off of memory and my personal interpretation of the facts) to the download site on this forum (which will lead to the Mirrors choice of MediaFire, MegaUpload, etc.).
Our mods need some help with PHP programming for this, so if you can program PHP well, then spend some of your free fap time to a better cause!

Yes, but I was too lazy to post a link to that thread, since it was already at the top of the site.
I was wrong... maybe

Re: In-game song database/ download?
The wiki is updated regularly. I'm a member there and everyday I got emails notifying the wiki has been updated. The people just need to add a suffix or prefix like "Updated 21/4/2010" then people will know its updated.
Re: In-game song database/ download?
I don't know if there is any, but I would really want one. I hate searching for the song I want. (I'm very lazy)
