Alright, I was looking over the features of GH2 and I could have sworn that there was a practice mode to be made, where you can play parts of a song you find difficult until you get it right, now seeing as the heyboard isnt the most comfortable controller, guitar, I thought it would be cool if you could do the same in frets on fire, thoughts?

that would be pretty handy. in many of the DDR versions, there was a practice option like that. could specify start and end points, make it slow mo, etc...

Yes!
I think there should be a better Tutorial, like, "teaching" how you make certain "tricks" with the frets. Like when you play a like this pattern:
* *
*
**
*
**
*
**
( this is impossibel for me. my fingers get paralyzed =] )
and things like that.

Other cool thing would be a History Mode, where you have to play on certain shows and as far as you go you can buy new necks and new frets and notes... It should be really nice =]

I knew I had read it somewhere the practice mode is a feature of GH2, I read it from my new tips and tricks magazine. Anyone else like this idea.

there is an easy way around this problem, say for example the 2 notes used are notes 1 & 2 you simply hold note 1 all the time and strum, and every other strum you just tap note 2 at the same time as holding note 1

And the additional neck buttons etc idea is good but Very impractical, all the graphics in this game take a lot of you memory to display them properly, so if you had to load 2 or more of every graphic it would probably make you computer explode :D

if you want different graphics they are available in the modding section, or you could just make your own, they are only vector graphics ( adobe illustrator and other such programs can make vector graphics)
But you have to replace the graphics not just add more.

i think a story mode would be pretty pointless. however, the practice mode is a good idea. shouldn't be too difficult to change where the playback of a song starts and ends

I haven't played GHII, but in GH, the "story mode" was just some crappy window dressing for song advancement. We most certainly don't need that here.

However, practice mode would be most appreciated, especially since we can't perform hammer-on's and pull-off's. Just add some more code in the song .ini's that defines the times of the Verses and the Chorus.

I use the Freetar Editor to practice individual bits of songs, I merge the .ogg's and open it on Freetar Editor.

That way, I can work out the exact timing of each note I play, so I can easily find the mistake I'm making (which is invaluable on the complex songs).

Perhaps a slow-motion mode? It could use a button to trigger it. With the Guitar Controller we could use the 'lift vertically' mode to switch!
