Have to hit notes just before

I find when I'm playing the game I have to hit notes just before they appear in the right place to hit them on screen. Does anyone know what setting should be changed to solve this.

You can change the AV delay, but if that doesn't help, it might be your keyboard.

new version or older version?
I found the same with the new version.. old is fine though

It's the new. I have played around with the av delay but it doesn't seem to help.

i'm also having this problem.. i know its not my keyboard because i'm using a guitar hero controller. the same thing happens when i use my keyboard as well though. i can't play any fast parts at all and it stinks

Just checking, but make sure you're changing the A/V delay in appropriate increments, like differences of 50-100

It might be to do with the problems with the HOPO.

Have you tried the older version? One of the reasons I've ditched the new version is due to the exact problem you describe... nothing you can do about it... except wait for the fixes.

it might be a hopo problem. not enough description to be sure. well anyways, a way to get around this problem (if HOPO) is to switch back to the old version and use the new RF mod 3.0 (suposed to come out tonight). beware, RF mod has different instalation then the rest of the mods, read the readme or something, ull learn. anyways RF mod 3 is like the most asskicking mod out there. RF (the creator) put HOPO in the old version better then the creators did. thats y im switching bak to the old version

I have installed and am using the new version and it's working fine now.
