Sorry about the slow response. Note that we don't exactly have waves of people jumping to help out in Tech Support. It can be a little slow sometimes.

Anyway. Are you using the newest version of FoF (Version 1.2.512)? If you don't know try watching the credits, that will tell you what version you have. FoF v1.2.512 is a very buggy installation, and is not recommended by this community. Uninstall it if you are trying to run 1.2.512 and install some other version (making sure to delete your old fretsonfire.ini file before installing, check here if you don't know where to find it).

If you are not running on v1.2.512, can you please tell us the "other errors" that are popping up in the "cx_Freeze:" dialog box?

P.S. In the future please don't reply to one of your own posts if no one is replying (this is called double, or in your case triple posting). This is against the Forum Rules and can get you banned.
Goodbye everyone. It's been fun. I spent many many hours here on these boards and playing/contributing to FoF. Today I uninstalled my game and deleted all my files. I just don't have the time or interest anymore. I won't be coming back here anymore. I might show up in the IRC from time to time to chat. I regret nothing.

So long, farewell.

Remove your mod...

And the reason no one is helping may be that no one has experienced the same error.

One hour isn't all that long of a wait.

I suggest removing the fretsonfire.ini, uninstalling and going back to a fresh/clean version of the game.

The Guitar Hero Mod (I can only guess you mean Raph's) will not make your game do this, and yes other people have experienced this problem before. It's not exactly an uncommon error when using the new version.

Raph's GH mod only works on versions 1.1.324 and 1.2.451. Make sure you download the correct version of the mod to match your version of FoF. Follow all installation instructions given.

Note also that if you are trying to install WorldRave's new GH3 Mod (this one), it only works on FoF v.1.1.324. After uninstalling your current version you can find that here. You weren't very specific about which GH mod you were using, making this harder for us (the Tech Support board) to recommend what you try next.

Good day,

What does it say after Traceback 9(most recent call list)? For us to be able to know anything about the error you're getting, we need to see the last lines of text it says (the one right above the OK button).

If you ever get cx_freeze or gmatrix33, then -

If you have a load of songs already and dont want to delete them, then move them out of the folder before you do this.

Delete your current fof,
Delete your fretsonfire.ini, and the fretsonfire text document (Start > Run > %appdata%/fretsonfire/)
Download this- https://www.fretsonfire.org/cgi-bin....d+and+4
If you dragged your songs folder out, drag it into this,

Try that,

Mike.

I'm getting the exact same problem. If i reinstall FoF it's okay for a couple of times, but sooner or later this error keeps popping up. I dont want to reinstall FoF every other day, so could you tell me how to fix it?
pretty please? =P

DID you delete your old installation before putting another?
Because it may have left your error log behind from the old version:

Go to your Fretsonfire folder,
and delete the "fretsonfire.exe.log"

i deleted the entire map with everything in it, and the %appdata%/Fretsonfire/ folder, that's everything right?
After the clean install it works for 3 or 4 times, then i get the same error again.

You are not using 1.2.451. You are using 1.2.512.
