Believe me, you'd rather not have people posting who have nothing to say.

I've been lurking for a week now (well, since the sever went back up and the registration issues were resolved) mainly for information on the game, mods, issues, guitar making, etc. It really is a great resource and I thank all of you who post regularly and make cool stuff. I'm glad to now be a part of it!

Indeed sir, if you don't have anything to say, no need to say anything! Posts should contribute, no harm in lurking when everything that needs to be said has been said.

...this post excluded obviously.

A thanks button could be a neat addition to the tune trading forum come to think of it. Similarly to what torrent sites use. It's nothing big, just bumps a thread and gives the maker a thanks without having to post essentially the same thing.

I think it be cool to have a vote panel in the tune trading forum. Where you could vote your thoughts on the quality on the conversion of a song 1 to 5. Too many people are too quick in giving thanks without even playing or reviewing the song.

That's a good idea too. It'd make it easier to find the really well done songs as well. Usually I just grab songs I like, but I may end up missing a really fun song to play that I hadn't heard of.

Bumping would be annoying as hell.
Might as well have every topic as a poll.

who cares anyway, what kind of ppl you are if you're in need of gratitude and recognition that come from a forum. I think that most posters who gave infos or mods or songs or anything do it to share with the world, not to be THE one who made it. Registering without posting is not leeching, it's being interested in a subject and being able to post if necessary. 128-page-threads that are filled with "thank you" are difficult-to-search-threads

I agree with that, empty space is better than spam.
