Ha, me and my friend (an avid TVLinks user) had a debate about whether it was illegal or not. I agree that shutting it down and arresting the owner is bogus, but it was still wrong. For example, what if I held a big posterboard sign that had extremelly detailed directions to the nearest 5 crack dealers on the corner of Times Square? Think about it.

...I'm preparing my "I told you so" speech right now...

Goodbye everyone. It's been fun. I spent many many hours here on these boards and playing/contributing to FoF. Today I uninstalled my game and deleted all my files. I just don't have the time or interest anymore. I won't be coming back here anymore. I might show up in the IRC from time to time to chat. I regret nothing.

So long, farewell.

Yeah, alloftv will be closed by the end of the month too. But there's still joox, and alluc. Videostic is okay too.

Yeah, they'll probably all close, but new ones will take their places. Streaming media is the future! Just take a look at deezer!
Its just like life. Quite interesting in parts, but no substitute for the real thing.

Oh, yeah, they may close websites, but they have to close the source to stop all this crap. Divx Stage6, DailyMoton, etc.

This quote is hilarious.
What makes the charges so odd is that he was again, only providing LINKS to pirated content, and never actually hosted anything. Can linking really be considered "facilitation?" If I link to TVLinks am I then a co-conspirator?

How in the world do you actually wonder if this is "facilitation"? I mean, that's exactly what it is. Lol, It's funny the way people think. "It's not illegal because I don't want it to be".
I mean, if you're driving a guy to the bank so he can rob it, you're facilitating. If you're even giving him directions to the bank and the access codes to the vault you're facilitating. I mean, come one, people can't really be that stupid.

I tell you, the world is infected with n00bism. It's not just an Internet thing, it's a real-life epidemic.

Oh ****... I just realised how the world ends.

Those infected with n00bism decide that, as said in the "lawlnessy pictures" thread, instead of being charismaless, they'll be intelligenceless... Someone gives them a nuclear device, they blow someone up, they blow someone else up, the chain spirals...

Death by n00b.

Sucks that TVLinks went down... Even suckier is his charge. I know that law, and the "Trade Mark Act" was created for counterfeiting purposes, not filesharing purposes.
