Yeah, density is a good word. Just "playing" a note is one thing...controlling the density and feel of the note is something totally different...and takes years sometimes to learn.

GH actually kinda inspired me to take up guitar.... Gotta start pulling down a more regular paycheck though. My friend is expensive but a freakin' virtuoso.

Been playing since i was 10 7 years now... crap, here nobody knows how to play an instrument, so no band for me. Crap.


I've been playing all kinds of instruments for years (guitar, bass, keys, saxophone...) but I would consider myself a bassist. My old guitarist went to Minnesota... you near Philly CartaRulla?

Oh yeah, that's so true. That Terry Balsamo guy is a living example. :cool:

Just started 'self lessons' a week ago.
I'm working on the notes on the first 3 strings.
I'm taking my time and not rushing into any songs or anything tooo difficult.

Well, I can play guitar...in a bit of a roundabout way...

I can play the intro to YYZ at 75% normal speed...

...so...yeah. I'd really like to learn, though. :)
