That isn't to say that Christianity should be associated with anything negative, but I find it a bit testing when people throw around the concept that if it's Christian themed, that means it's family friendly. Or worse, that for something to be family friendly, it must be Christian (as your parents seem to think). It's kind of offensive really.

Eh, anyways, not trying to start a flame war. I support the product, I just don't necessarily support their motives for making it/the way they are advertising it.

Nobody said family friendly stuff had to be Christian. I mean, heavy metal music isn't usually family friendly, but there is Christian heavy metal music. It all depends on a persons view point.

Hopefully they'll have this song in it.

*claps* You win the award for most beautiful comment of the day! Well, look at some sick Christian bands here. Tourniquet, Impending Doom, The Devil Wears Prada, A Plea for Purging, and As I Lay Dying. Plus, what you just said, you said to Alice Cooper AND Dave Mustain (in case you're musically un-educated, the lead singer/guitarist of Megadeth) So, what do you think now? I could go on forever with Hardcore, Metalcore, Thrash, Death, Black, and other genre-ific bands that sound gruesome AND are Christian. And @hzac: I know you were just joking by saying God is in Guitar Hero 3, but look it up smart one. God of ROCK, no God, the ancient Greeks had Gods and that's what the God of Rock was based on. Enough with the stupid Scientology Hero, go make your own thread.

This is exactly what I have been looking for for the youth group...

I remember seeing the same companys version of Dance Dance Revolution that was chrstian and I asked the sales fella if they had a christian Guitar hero...

FoF has been great with christian tracks (thanks to all those out there who have fretted them), but while I can play the expert songs not alot of the youth group can, so having this selection with easy thru expert will be fantastic....

To those who have come in this post just to stir up trouble.... why bother... Some of us are overjoyed that this has been made and will gladly buy this product... if you have serious questions about christianity, go ahead and PM me, I'll ignore PM's that are designed just to spam however... otherwise your just posting to troll, and even non-christans find that behavior distasteful...

@ Blackfriday - I hear also you were compiling a christian FoF version, can you PM me if that was successful?

Try to keep this more about the topic than a religious debate. With TONS of other places on the Internet to discuss religion, WHY would you do it on a FRETS ON FIRE FORUM?

Nwru, was that directed at me posting this thread, or the others saying Christians deserve to die and stuff?

The topic here is about the game, so anything else (trolling included) doesn't belong here.

Anyone seen the screen shots for this yet? Oh my they are terrible. The graphics are just plan awful. You guys on here make way better graphics for FoF than Guitar Praise has.

http://www.guitarpraise.com/screenshot_gallery.php

Oh man I hope that they release a new version soon with better graphics. That just makes my eyes bleed. I was really hoping to get a copy for our church youth group, but I wouldn't think many would play it when they compare it with Guitar Hero or Rock Band. :(

On the plus side they do have some cool ideas for competitive multiplayer though. It might be nice to see a few of these things added to Frets on Fire. And yes I know that the DS version of Guitar Hero has some of this. The spinner thing sounds like their take on Star Power or the Star notes in GH3, or some combination of the two. Here's a quote from the website.

• Spinners help you gain more points. The Spinner is a falling note that is spinning as it falls. Spinners appear in groups, and if you miss any of the Spinners in a group, the remaining Spinners in that group revert to normal falling notes. If the last Spinner in a group is successfully hit, it flies up, off the screen, and you are awarded a Spinner Bonus. You may hold up to four Spinner Bonuses at a time. Activate your Spinner Bonus by tilting your guitar. This causes your Multiplier to double and your score will increase.

• Power Duel Mode sends surprises to mess with your opponent. Power Duel mode is similar to Duel Mode except that the Spinner Bonuses are replaced by PowerUps. The PowerUps can be used to get an advantage over your opponent. There are 7 PowerUps:

• Invisibility – causes your opponent’s target zone to disappear
• Minus – causes your opponent’s play to subtract from his/her score
• Speed – causes your opponent’s notes to fall faster
• Smoke – causes a cloud of smoke to hide your opponent’s target zone
• Broken Fret – causes one of your opponent’s frets to break, it must be pressed several times to be repaired
• Whammy – causes your opponent’s fret buttons to stop working until they press their Whammy Bar several times
• Blast – takes away all PowerUp from your opponent

By the way the game is already out now, and its available if you know where to look online. Not that I am suggesting anyone do that. ???

Now a side question based on how it looks. You don't think they might have used a modded version of Frets on Fire as the basis for their game do you?

[paraphrased for length]

i like the invisibility because i dont look at the target zone, i look ahead at the next notes!
