I know kids who went on a teachers computer and found some porn he had on his drive...they watched it with the rest of the class and when he came in they minimized it and started laughing...he had no idea what happened and still doesnt

Been there, practically. Well, at least it looked like some pr0n movie beggining despite the fact that it was only 30 seconds long.:) BTW, one of the big heads of our school keeps her login/pass on a piece of paper that lies on the desk.:) AFAIR, they call it "security".

So when you put FOF on a USB drive, what happens to the fretsonfire.ini it writes in documents and settings? Does it make a new one every time, or is there a way to keep changes you've made with you on the USB drive?

I've thought about it since I got a 2GB drive, but wondered about how settings applied through the ini would work.
Still haven't gotten around to putting everything on there though.

If you have a fretsonfire.ini in the same folder as the exe, it will use that instead :)

^ yeah, just do that.

Works fine. I still have to just yank out the USB without doing "the remove safely" thing, because you still cant right click on the tool bar at my school, but i dont lose any data. Still works fine.

You would probably only lose data if anything changed recently, so you may lose some high scores.

Won't you look like a freak holding up your keyboard for FoF in school?

In our school we can do pretty much anything as long as its legal. There's a filter, but it can be beaten with a proxy (it blocks urls with proxy and pr0xy. but it doesn't block the ones I use, pr7xy, pr4xy and pr9xy. proxies ftw)

Man, ever heard of vtunnel? There's a ton of others too, without any trace of the word "proxie." Just google "ip tunnel," it does the same thing.

actually I've just finished compiling a DVD after I saw all the suffering you are going through to play it in school. In there FoF makes its own ini files and runs directly from DVD. Here is the link to the torrent: http://www.fulldls.com/downloading_games_32605
Download the torrent and see if it meets you demands.
The next version is coming up soon.

*** Edit ***
Don't bother about the torrent. If you still want it just PM me for the direct link.

My friend brought his cracked CS to his school-computer and shares it to others computers. When he first time was installing it then teacher comes and asks: "What program you are installing?" My friend: "This is a new drawing program."
Teacher: " Yea righ" And ignores about installing. And I think that teachers thinks thath CS is free

Then he puts it to usb flash memory stick and shares with my other friends.

We can play CS or what ever we want, after we have do our lesson assigment (You got time about 45 min to play). I don't usually finish them, I do them about half way :D . And still I got 8/10 to report. 4 is minium and 10 is maxium. 8 means good. :D

I can boot FoF through a shared folder on the network, so there's only one main PC holding FoF

Well i made FoF work on my school computer but it was simple, actually no problem at all. Thought in my school, everyone had a folder called data and strangly the comp allowed you to install stuff there, hell some dude even fixed steam to the comp by doing something, no idea what but you were nable to install that on the C drive.

Our computer programming class had an awesome teacher. We installed Delta Force Black Hawk Down on all the computers and our teacher actually played with us. He shares the room with another computer teacher though, and when he came in he told our teacher that it probably isn't a good idea to be letting students play shooting games. So after we took the AP test we installed Age of Empires II and had LAN parties every day. That was the best class ever. Our computers have minimal security. We had URL filters, but we always had proxies. One classmate of mine actually made his own proxies for us to use. And then of course, there was that other computer class I was in where my teacher caught trying to bypass security settings on the command prompt and ever since it's been taken off the start menu... lol. Good times, good times.
