Whammy Bar = Mouse?

What would you like to see added or fixed in FOF?

I know people want a whammy bar for frets on fire.
Maybe there's some way that you can move the mouse to make it work.

I dont know, just an idea.

Python can't alter sounds in realtime. There will never be whammy.

Besides, you would need a third hand to move the mouse around.

As this argument is repeated here frequently: It's most definitely not true. It's just that maybe the libraries FoF uses for sound don't support that feature (yet).

(In this special case, it's still true that you won't be able to handle the mouse while playing the game.)

It's true that it might not be definitive, but admit that in the actual state, the game cannot support it. You also know that the implementation of say, pysonic, represents a lot of work.

So even if it's not the perfect and abolute argument (let's say pygame doesn't support it, since python does, but that FoF is made using pygame), it's at least a good one to answer to people that thinks Whammy stuff is just a matter of "new controls or buttons"

Goodbye everyone. It's been fun. I spent many many hours here on these boards and playing/contributing to FoF. Today I uninstalled my game and deleted all my files. I just don't have the time or interest anymore. I won't be coming back here anymore. I might show up in the IRC from time to time to chat. I regret nothing.

So long, farewell.

When you play guitar hero, you have to move your hand off the strum to whammy (most of the time).

Well, it would be the same for FoF.
Move your hand off of the Strum to whammy. (Off the enter to the mouse)

You don't have to move your hand off the strum. Just use your pinky to push the whammy up and down.

Also, instead of the whammy affecting the pitch(even though that's what it's for), it could affect the panning instead, so pressing it would make the sound play in only the right speaker, then the left, and back and forth. It actually sounds cool and has a wavy effect.
