Postby void111 » Thu Jun 03, 2010 12:25 am

So i finally figured out how to make a vocal chart with EOF so i tried it and it worked the game was able to notice i had Vocals charted. So i go to test them out and for some reason i get stuck on the "Preparing Note Phrases" loading screen  anyone know why this might be happening. Im using EOF 1.65 and Fofix 3.121

You need to make the phrases in EOF. Happened to me too. Just highlight the phrase, go to note, select lyric lines, and hit mark.

heh, good luck testing the song anyways. >_>

I haven't touched a GH related game for 6 months. Woo. My (dead) song thread: Contains horrible things.

Re-make your song.INI... This worked for me with the RB songs i've downloaded here

Having the same problem with it going nowhere on "preparing note phrases". I've tried both of these methods so far: marked the notes and remade the song.ini, but they change nothing with the problem.

In fact, the only oddity I see might not be an issue at all. Whenever I load my song in EOF, the vocal notes are dragged down where some are in the red. So I move the piano roll over accordingly to make them appear nicely on the screen. Save, leave EOF, return to EOF, and the piano roll is right back in its previous default location with the notes back in the red. I'm not even sure if this matters or not, but it's the only strange issue that I see on here.

Then that makes sense and eliminates that. Still don't understand why the vocal parts won't load in FoFiX, though. Everything about vocal creation seems easy enough to do, yet it just doesn't want to play.

Cancel that. Got it going. Looks like this happens when you don't use proper lyric symbols, like the + for pitch shifts. So the game doesn't know how to translate it correctly, hence the loading freeze.

Well, that's one problem solved. Now to somehow fix the horrible inaccurate pitch the microphone seems to hear and figure out why each lyric line displayed in FoFix is cutting off some words. Ugh.
