iPod Cassettes and Cases
By Blazingamer

What I did:

I made a mod that changes the cassettes to iPod shuffles and the library cases to regular iPods.

What's to come:

Right now, the ipods do not have a way to use labels, well they can use labels, but they don't look right. So that's what to come in the future.

What version is it for?:

It was made for 1.2 but works in 1.1 as well. However, there is a problem with the 1.1 version where the Ipod Shuffle is rotated vertically instead of horizontally.

Goodbye everyone. It's been fun. I spent many many hours here on these boards and playing/contributing to FoF. Today I uninstalled my game and deleted all my files. I just don't have the time or interest anymore. I won't be coming back here anymore. I might show up in the IRC from time to time to chat. I regret nothing.

So long, farewell.

Dude, could you just make a low-poly (like just 6 planed) rectangle that's roughly the same size as the cassette for version 1.2?

It wouldn't make much of a difference, it would only knock off around 10 faces. Oh, and screenshots.

So can anybody test if these work for 1.1, because if they do, that's just one more blazinggamer addition to Guitar Hero Compilation Mod 1.55. You're on a roll!

Thank you Duckmeister, it's because I'm doing something I like doing, and that's working in blender, that it seems like I'm pumping out mods like it's nothing.

The first thing I thought of when I read the description was CoverFlow. Not sure how feasible that would be - I realize it'd probably be a lot more work making the flipping go horizontally rather than vertically, and I'd imagine the reflection would be rather tough to implement. In any case, cool idea. Looks good.

Wow...thanks for reviving my thought-to-be-dead topic. I updated the first post slightly to let you people know about compatibility with 1.1.

That was the original plans for it.

With the right amount of knowledge of coding and time, I'm sure it could be done. Infact I could actually implement that once I learn how to code python correctly.

Why not just use this for the list feature, with just one i-pod and you go up and down on the ipod screen to find songs?

It doesnt make any sense, who has i-pods with one song on each?

It doesn't have to make sense, who has CD's with one song on them, who has Cassettes with one song on them, some people do, but not many.

So, it doesn't really matter, as long as it looks nice, and besides, I cut down on file size by a good 100kb, look at the cassettes and cds, they don't need to be that large, and yet they are.

A big i-pod screen for list mode.
