So, after messing with the neck files a bit, I thought why not try my hand at modding the graphics on a bit broader scale. Here's the result, things changed can be seen in the screenshots. Yes, the colours are a bit dull on purpose, I like them. Hopefully someone else does, too.

Files changed:
2x.svg
3x.svg
4x.svg
ball1.svg
ball2.svg
flame1.svg
flame2.svg
left.svg
logo.svg
neck.svg
pose.svg
right.svg
star1.svg
star2.svg
default.TTF
title.TTF

To install, first extract everything to the FretsOnFire\data folder. Of course, remember to take backups of the above files (if you don't want to lose them) as they will be overwritten. After (or before, doesn't matter) that, open fretsonfire.ini with any text editor (notepad for example) and under the [game] header change the color values as follows:
base_color = #b6b0a2ff
selected_color = #E8E2D3
background_color = #241f18
That's it, nothing more to do.

You have updated the game, right? I just tried the mod with the original version and the colors didn't work. No problems after the updated though.

But.. now i downloaded it...

Crashes the game immediatley... Good thing i got a backup.

Yes, i have the updated version, With the guitar hero song support.

It must be something with my computer

That's weird. I had the same problem of the game crashing on startup before I simplified the .svgs a bit. Have no problems with the current ones though. So, anyone actually got this to work except me?

maybe it's just me but all the modified text is very blurry, looks like it belongs in a much lower resolution than 1440x900.
