Dude, sorry if I come off a little aggressive. It is hard to explain in extact detail my situation. I usually keep up with every detail and update from FOFix, to GHWT, to hardare, computers, and you name it, but it is a little boring and I start to not care because I am burnt out. I just stopped smoking cigs too so i'm a little crazy.

The chart will skip.

Also, at times the notes will be correct, and then when I rewind the chart a bit, to just before the notes they will be 1/2 - 1 full measure off.

I'm using the song "Everyday is Exactly the Same" by Nine Inch Nails, as said in my first post here.

Also, in the dreaded Feedback, the notes appear correct, but in EOF 1.58 they appear incorrect. As in they don't sync with the guitar beats.

Try enabling smooth playback (File>Settings). Also note that you should use an audio cue (clap) to tell if notes are synced with the music, as it's the most reliable method.

Does it do that with both the software and the OS mouse pointer? I know that there's a problem where if you Esc out of certain OS dialog windows, the mouse pointer flickers uncontrollably until you hit Esc again. Specifically, does it flicker immediately upon opening EOF, after you load a chart, or when?

Here's what is currently enabled:

1) Smooth Playback
2) Vsync
3) Windows User Interface
4) Note Auto-adjust

Other settings:

Window size: 640x480
Input Method: Piano Roll
A/V delay: 100
Buffer size: 8192 (It has better performance than the default 4096)

The controls are default.

This is when the problem is occurring.

You might try the "Force 8-Bit Color" option as well. The graphics are 8-bit anyway, it just uses the desktop depth for compatibility reasons.

There seems to be a bug with the Test in FoF function. When you go to test;

Guitar (Amazing), it plays Guitar (SupaEasy).
Guitar (Medium), it plays Guitar (Easy).
Guitar (Easy), it plays Guitar (Medium).
Guitar (SupaEasy), it plays Guitar (Amazing).

Drum (all difficulties) you get an message saying "Error: No Notes!" even though there are notes.

Bass (Amazing), it plays Bass (SupaEasy).
Bass (Medium), it plays Bass (Easy).
Bass (Easy), it plays Bass (Medium).
Bass (SupaEasy), it plays Bass (Amazing).

The drum issue is probably a bug. About the Bass and Guitar playing the wrong difficulty, I've never had this issue unless I imported a Feedback song which contained "phantom" notes in the empty difficulties. To fix it I just erase those notes from the other difficulties. It seems FOF enumerates the difficulties differently when there are "phantom" notes and selects the wrong difficulty. If you have a chart which exhibits this problem that doesn't contain "phantom" notes could you post a link?

How can the issue be replicated? Do you have to make a HUGE solo phrase, or lots of small phrases?

Don't forget to mark Star Power sections (at least 2) if you want your solos to work. This is a limitation of FoFiX caused by differences between Rock Band and Guitar Hero charting conventions. FoFiX uses the Star Power markers to determine if the chart is a Guitar Hero or Rock Band chart since Guitar Hero's Star Power marker is the same as Rock Band's Solo marker.

If you still can't get it to work you can send me the "notes.eof" file and I'll have a look.
