RF-mod 3.0 - It's already retro
Just a quick bug/question regarding split screen multiplayer. In the old mod it used to show split screen high scores, but in this one it only shows player 1s new scores for me if we both play different parts. Is this intentional?

It's only a virtue if you're not a screwup.

a cool implementation would be adjustable hopo pickup times, if that makes sense

Guiness - It is probably the messed up GHII packs. If anything I did some tweaks to the GHII ones to make it a bit softer. Basically if you're playing the lead track, the bass track is slightly lower. If you are playing the bass track, the lead track is slightly lower. It emphasizes the part you are playing. I probably should see how 2 player affects this.
syberdave - Thanks a lot of the x86_64 version. I'll put it up on my D/L site. I will problably.
raptor_jesus - without specific examples of your 'not enough HOPO' i can't help you. The algorithm is the same as what scorehero says GH is. As far as the load times, I have only noticed that on GH2 tracks. And I am not sure it's because of HOPO, because if I disable them it still takes as long.
konador - wait for the high score scroll. The split screen high score list was silly.

Yes, I compared Freebird in FoF & using GHex, and there is less HOPO in the mod than in Guitar hero (at 4:21 of the song, not the 4:21 left mark) for example.
And yes, the glow for notes is not the same as before.
And you never mentioned my problem or answered my question.
Every time I try to change mods, after I hit apply settings and it reloads, it freezes before it starts up and I have to close it and open again for the new mod to take effect.
This is what the log says:
So can I delete the Fretsonfire.exe file and rename Fretsonfire-RF-mod.exe that?

There! I made a 32-bit Linux binary.

I ended up just installing 32-bit Gentoo because all the needed libraries are in portage. (Took long enough.) If it doesn't work, let me know. I'll try to fix it after school and work tomorrow.

Plaid... even though it's technically not a colour.
Man this topic has exploded since the last time i was on here. Thanks for your response before Rogue... I'm sure it must be hard with many questions. Of course this is why I'm have returned. My last question -
"I know this version supports HOPO but is there anyway to put these notes into custom made songs through the song editor or any other process?"
- was answered but I was playing homerrulz's Metropolis part 1 and noticed that he had HOPOs In his song. Just one question to either of you: how do you put em In there? do they just come normally from note proximity or Is there a way In song editor? That's all from me.

when i try to relocate my song directory it says:
The system cannot find the path specified: 'data\\songs/*.*'
this is my fretsonfire.ini:
[game]
alt_keys = False
selected_song = Dark Side of the Moon
disable_vbpm = False
language =
selected_library = songs
game_priority = 2
uploadurl = http://kempele.fi/~skyostil/python/fretsonfire/upload
leftymode = False
players = 1
strum_burst = 0
base_directory = E:\fof
uploadscores = False
sort_order = 0
hopo_type = 2
two_chord_max = False\
i've tried putting the songs in E:\fof, E:\fof\data, E:\fof\data\songs and changing the base_directory to to various things to try to match it but it doesnt seem to be working
