official fof guitar controller??

I say we can keep all the regular buttons instead of making coders work more. But use the design that RB and GH haven't used yet, a keytar. I would make it if i knew how to make the controllers.

And where's the most important Esc button?

I've actually thought a bit about thise before, and made a little mock-up in blender. =p




Now don't tell me that that's not awesome. :P Strum instead of up/down, whammy that goes over the scroll-/caps-/num lock (still visible) and extended keys (the normal F1-5 and Esc are still in place just extra on the side).

the F1-5 keys are the SOLO (or slide) keys :D

extend the whammy... lower the Insert/home/delete keys and have a slot with a cover to stop the whammy from getting messed with when travelling.

There already is an official FoF guitar controller. It's called a keyboard. You hold it like this:

Seriously though, that was the original point behind FoF... it was to let you play a guitar-hero like game with the keyboard. Why do you need a FoF guitar controller?

I would like to make a USB whammy bar to attach to my apple keyboard though, that would be sweet

This is just too win. I'd buy it if someone made it. That's just an awesome idea. And this way you can still type in your name quickly.

there is a guitar ( kinda like the GH plastic guitars ) its sold and marketed as a guitar specifically for FOF. http://riff-rocker.com/home.html yes its crap, but it is sold as a guitar specifically for FOF and jam legends, which would kinda make it an official fof guitar.

Do you know how much this would cost? This GAME is free, if they make the controllers then they'd probably stop the game and make people buy it. Still they won't hav the money.

no the game would still be open source. they would just sell the guitar.
