I've been using photoshop for a long time now, and it only costed me $150 to upgrade to CS3 Extended. Which was worth it to me. I use the hell out of it, outside of work, and it's just so worth it to me.

yeah I think I'm just going to buy it because I use it and am really familiar with it and like I said I got my use out of my free trial so I guess I should support the software...... So any suggestions? Element 5 is pretty much like the trial version, without the pen tool. Is CS3 like the deluxe release?

Wow read the thread before you post please. I do not want to rip off photoshop. There are people who want to do things the right way. I've enjoyed using photoshop and now I am going to spend a ton of money on it because people like you rip the program off. That increases the cost to the legitimate end user, and as I previously said, I enjoyed and used this program enough to want to support it's further developement, etc. I am capable of aquiring photoshop illegitimately and in fact I downloaded the version I have via bittorrent (and yes it came with a keygen that I deleted). I am choosing not to.

See, I um, got photoshop..um..free.

Thing is, I wouldn't mind paying for it, but I'm not gonna pay freaking $700 for a program that all I pretty much do with it, is draw....and POSSIBLY edit some pics every now and then. I could do that with a pencil, or Ms Paint. If it was like $50, $60, then maybe YES, i'd buy it...but when it cost as much as my "entire" computer cost<_<..that's going a bit overboard, dontcha think. Yes, it's a good program, but NOT worth the price of a computer...
