Does anyone know why the solos become instantly sped up? Or preferably, does anyone know how to turn it off or stop it? Its kinda annoying, although its fun to try to keep up, but I was just wondering if theres a way to turn it off. It kind of takes away from the fun of playing the game, when you actually can't hit the notes because its scrolling too fast. Thanks.

I'm talking about GH1 songs, I haven't got GH2 yet. Like for instance, that Sum41 song, or "Ready to Rokk", during the solos the game speeds up, and then will slow down after. Its really hard to nail the notes.

Has anyone else noticed this, or does it just happen to me. This didn't occur in Guitar Hero 1 for PS2. So I don't think it has to do with the songs.

I don't know, its killin' me though, I mean on one end its fun to try to hit those notes (keyboard) but on the other hand its pretty damn hard. I ordered a PS2 to USB converter and waiting for it to be mailed to me, I'm hoping it'll be easier to play. I bought a GH controller the other day. Hopefully I'll be rockin' soon. I don't have a PS2 and don't plan on buying one, Frets on Fire is the answer to my prayers. I would just like it to rival GH I guess, in terms of playability.

I've also noticed this on a couple of songs, but it really isn't that much harder to play.

Messiah, are you using the GH controller? Or for those who are, do you recommend it? Is it any easier? I have problems using the keyboard, like sometimes I keep one finger depressed not even knowing, just out of habit. I think because in the heat of firing off buttons, its my way of gripping the keyboard for a better grasp. I'm hoping the GH controller will be my solution.

It autodetects tempo now, I guess.

Nope, don't have a GH controller as yet (hoping to get one off E-Bay for the right price). It's just a matter of adjusting to the speed I guess, as a lot of songs already had different tempos anyway.

Haha, well said.
Its just like life. Quite interesting in parts, but no substitute for the real thing.
