I LOVE the addition of a chart maker, it is an absolutely priceless necessity to a guitar hero style game. Though the editor in FoF is nice and pretty, I think the mouse should be enabled in it. If it were enabled in the editor, only in the editor, you could also add in the ability to select notes that have already been made (even multiple at the same time with ctrl) so anyone can easily make minor fixes, mass deletions, copy and paste repetive sections (MUST HAVE) etc. Frets on Fire is a billion times nicer than Freetar Hero for example, but the Freetar Editor, though very simple, is unfortunately more user-friendly. With it's copy, paste, cut, and multiple note selecting, you can make a just-as-good-chart in half the time or less than in Frets on Fire. In Fact, if FoF charts were in .sng format rather than .midi I would resort to that editor instead. Thank you for your attention to the community.

While the FoF editor isn't that good, take a look at that:

You may expect flame for your thread.

sweet thanks! Though I probably won't use it much anymore, I still think the FoF editor is lacking some meat, even if people hate me for it.

you're not going to be flamed because you think the game editor sucks, you'll be because, as a new member, the first steps are to read and search the forum before posting. many guides and tutorials already exists, explaining how to use 'third-party' editors. We all know the game editor is not really working good, but we also all know that you can convert .sng to .mid.
It would represent lot of work to modify the ingame editor and since people don't use it, most chances are no ones going to modify it.

I agree with raph. The Freetar Editor is simple and you can make songs just as easy. I don't think you'll get flamed though.

It's a lot easier to sync if you have the correct bpm of the song.

I don't know... I still think it may be good to have the built-in editor improved, even though Freetar Editor is still pretty good.

I never understood why that was so important. Songs can be well synced even without the correct BPM.
