Consider it implemented. The next beta release will remember the last used zoom level and active track when you load a project/chart/etc..

Awesome!
Also, is there any way to copy/paste from one lane only? Or select notes in one lane only? Would be extremely helpful when having to mark notes as expert+ when there are a ton in a row. Not to mention it would be very useful for transposing one lane at a time.

Re: EOF 1.8b13 - Now with five lane drum support
Sort of. You can select a note that just has a green gem (bass drum), and use select like to add all notes in that instrument difficulty that are just the green gem to the selection. However, select like will only select notes that are identical to any of the notes selected, so the previous example won't highlight a green+red (bass+snare) note combo. If you needed to mark several notes in a row as double bass, you can select the first, hold the Shift key and click on the last and it will highlight all the notes from the first one you clicked to that last note. You could then perform various operations to all selected notes, such as marking them all as Expert+ bass.
Edit: It's time for a new beta. Changes since 1.8b12:
Edit: It's time for a new beta. Changes since 1.8b12:
*Removes some unused code from the MIDI import logic and adds more logging.
*Improves INI import, including fixing a crash that would occur when reading the pro keys difficulty tag.
*Improved the logging system by having EOF create a random 3 digit number when it starts up, which is prefixed to each log entry, so that multiple instances of EOF running at once can have their entries individually identifiable from each other.
*Added the ability to read 5 lane drums during Feedback import, and made some other 5 lane drum fixes.
*Improved 3D rendering.
*Implements a new custom phrase marker system for use with future releases of Phase Shift. Open strum bass notes now use a notation that does not conflict with lane 1 bass HOPO notes, so people will now be able to chart HOPOs on all lanes and open strumming in their bass guitar tracks.
*EOF will now remember the last used zoom level and track when a chart is loaded or imported.
*Fixed a bug with the "Mark new notes as Expert+" feature that prevented it from working correctly when adding bass drum gems to existing notes.
*Improved the speed of the drum track fixup routine (runs after various operations), where before, lag was noticeable with charts that had thousands of drum notes.
*Fixed a bug during pro guitar export that would cause a blank chord name to be written when the chord has no name.
*As RB3's pro guitar slide marker system hasn't been determined, the existing pro guitar slide MIDI import/export logic has been removed and replaced with custom Sysex markers for use in future releases of Phase Shift. This will allow slides to be playable for custom charts until the correct notation is identified.

Yay! Now I can chart open-strum Bass and have the ability to make green Bass notes HOPO! Now if there will be a future update that will allow open note HOPO's that would be helpful too.

I also like how you can now do a 6th lane (5 lane + bass line) for Drums like in Guitar Hero games.

My Phase Shift custom songs (also work with Clone Hero and to a limited extent, FoFiX): https://www.mediafire.com/folder/er22i5q5yleg6

Just in case that's not a joke, I don't think open strum HOPOs are possible, since it is a requirement that you strum for the note.

That's just plain weird... They're played by tapping any one of the fret buttons?

Re: EOF 1.8b13 - Now with five lane drum support
You have to think of the plastic instrument as a REAL instrument. It took me a while to get used to the idea as well.
For pull-off open bass notes, you don't have to strum, but you must not press any frets. Please note that you can only pull-off open bass notes. It just crosses the hit line, and does the work for you.

Does FoF/FoFiX support this? I asked thekiwimaddog what he thought about the idea, but if no PC games support hammer on open strum bass, I don't know if I can make it much of a priority.

I'm sure if you talk to the devs of the projects and help them set a standard, they will support it.

Re: EOF 1.8b13 - Now with five lane drum support
After a discussion through PMs, it sounds like Phase Shift won't support open strum HOPOs at this time. If that changes, I'll consider adding support for EOF.

Why can't you have many different time signatures in a chart? If you change it at some place in the chart, it changes the whole song. Also, time signatures doesn't import from Feedback charts.
I chart my songs in Feedback, then finish them with EOF, since you can have custom time signatures and 5-lane drums.

In EOF, you have to click the beat marker whose time signature you want to change. If you have a Feedback chart that doesn't import into EOF as expected, send me the chart files and I'll take a look.
