Well here's the selection in what we get to choose for free games here in North America. When the services get underway. We also get to keep these games forever
http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2011/05/ ... e-users-2/ Go here for Europe
http://blog.latam.playstation.com/2011/ ... america-2/ Go here for Latin America (presumably Mexico, and other Southern American Countries)
Personally, i already own LittleBigPlanet, meaning between my brother and I we have the other 4 games :)
Who would have thought C.a.s.i.n.o is a no-no word
-Edit-
Another thought was provoked about how they are tracking the games, I don't know it's 2 games per IP, 2 games per system, or 2 games per current registered account before the outage

Re: PS3 Owners: Must Read ASAP
If I had to pick something for PSP, I suppose it'd be LBP, but if I won't be able to use it after the "complimentary" 30 days of PSN plus, I doubt I'll even bother.

Re: PS3 Owners: Must Read ASAP
The article says "The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever". We do get to keep them, you just have 30 days to claim them :/

Re: PS3 Owners: Must Read ASAP
That does sound worthwhile, but I still don't trust Sony with my personal data.

Re: PS3 Owners: Must Read ASAP
I'll be getting Dead Nation and LBP. I was planning to buy them and BAM!
My luck is getting better =)
Do you imagine how many money they are letting go for these free games? 0.o
Of course they have tons but
PSN players X 10-30$ (game costs) x 2 (because they are offering two)
Thats a lot of dollars :S

Re: PS3 Owners: Must Read ASAP
They're not losing anywhere near that much money. I'm sure only a small portion of the sale for any of the games offered actually goes into the hands of anybody outside of Sony. It's kind of like the logic they lay on us regarding pirated content, where the reality is a lost sale doesn't mean lost profits. I would never have bought any of the PSP games they're offering.
Re: PS3 Owners: Must Read ASAP
They're giving out free digital content. The fact that it's digital cuts a huge portion of money that Sony could have had to spend if it was physical.

Regardless of how much it costs them though, that's still a very smart gesture on their part. Just saying "here's 30 days of PSN plus (and maybe you'll totally want to keep paying us for it!)" is dumb, but saying "here's 5 (very well received) games, you can have two of them for free" and then offering some free time on their subscription services is a good idea. It still may not bring back some of the people that really got burned (or are major privacy freaks [no offense to any present]) but for most of their consumer-base, this will go a long way towards making up for the outage.

Oh no, it's cool and stuff but they were talking about losing tons of money.
Re: PS3 Owners: Must Read ASAP
Can I make an account an take advantage of the PSP games? Also, nevermind. I get them free anyway.
