Dreaming...

Postby timfoss » Sun Sep 05, 2010 2:06 pm

Anyone ever had a dream that felt real? I mean extremely real, like it takes an hour after you get up to realize it was a dream?

I just had one of those moments. It's freaky, it's like I can remember most of it too, unlike how the dream is usually forgotten instantly. I can recall spending whole days in the dream, possibly even a week. I'm being serious right now BTW, this has got me freaked.

One times, I was sure about a thing with my friends, so sure that these thing happened the week-end before...
2 days after I realized that was never happened cause somebody told me that he saw me elsewhere that WE (but don't still remember it), i dreamt it

my first reaction : told me to stop going to bed after 6AM... it makes me forget everything i lived before midday (the eve)... it's bad for studies lol

I've sort of woken up before in a dream, but when I actually woke up I could always recognize it. It wasn't like I was awake and thought I was dreaming or vise-versa. I've had dreams that felt long though, but those are pretty infrequent: most of my dreams aren't actual events they are just a combination of emotions and goals, as in my dreams are usually "these people are here, we're doing this, this is how I feel about it". Actual storylines usually don't happen in my dreams.

I think I dreamed that I was Anakin Skywalker and that Count Dooku (or someone related) was chasing me.

Even though I haven't seen Star Wars in years.

Dreaming about the prequels? That's awful.

Back on topic (by the way, idgaf if theres another one. This one is on a different subject than the other):

Yes, i have had dreams exactly like that. Even after waking up i have actually thought that i did something. Like I had to actually call/text people and ask them if certain things had happen. Thats how real it was, even hours after i woke up.

It's weird. I wonder what causes things like this.

I know partially how my own dreams work. MY mind takes stuff that's happened to me within the past few days and somehow assimilates them into the dream somehow. Like I've been playing Fallout 3 recently, and in my dream it was a post-nuclear war world just like Fallout. I can even remember in my dream making a reference to it, saying "That's funny, I never realized this is just like in the game Fallout".

This is the second time that I can remember having a dream like this (though this was definitely the most vivid and longest). I remember once a while ago I had a dream that I somehow had lots of money lol. I bought A 360 in my dream (didn't have one at the time, but really wanted one). When I woke up I couldn't find my 360 and was confused and looked around my house for like 30 minutes to find it until I realized it was a dream.

you ask questions but don't get off your ass to do any research. if you looked up any information on how dreams work for 2 minutes you'd understand that dreams just take information stored in your brain and recycle it
