Uh maybe GM (General MIDI) mode on your drum set? Mine does that with DTXMania, you have to turn on some setting so it doesn't go into GM mode.

Hmm. How would I do that? Is that through a program or something on the Drumset itself?

Its a setting on your drumset. Check the manual for general midi mode.

I think a lot of them are just too use to the RB sets TBH, + it's much easier for them to not have to worry about cymbals and toms. That makes it easier for them to get a higher score, which they would obviously want over a lower score. Besides that, a lot of people like RB's system in the first place :D(sept for that dam calibration -.-).

vedicardi wrote:Yeah I wasn't very clear about RB2's engine. I meant it was in perfect in that it's devoid of gimmicks (open strum), but DOES have forced hopo and hopo chords

Yeah, I kind of figured that's what you meant, but I wasn't sure because of they way you worded it.

Anyways, I guess this doesn't really have anything to do with PS, sorry.

T3HM3T4L:I've tried to sign up for Rock Band but they just won't allow me. They keep complaining I have to 'be over 18' while I've already been 18 for over half a year, and a sign up where I noted I was born in the '50s STILL GAVE ME THAT MESSAGE

So if anyone could help me get these templates, I'd very much appreciate it. I need it to edit notes and stuff for my Rock Band 2.

aander91:Sorry, but that'd be providing for minors, which is illegal.

T3HM3T4L:But I'm 18 years old... ?

aander91:Nope. Sorry.

T3HM3T4L:Nono, you're getting me wrong, I was asking how come I am still considered a minor?

aander91:Look, we can't just go out giving these things away to people who just say they're over 18 and show no proof, we'd be out of a job.

T3HM3T4L:Nevermind, I'll use EoF for it, I found the way I could use it for that.

with the way some of the GH charts convert for RB drums they are occasionally more difficult

but with pro drums coming out it doesn't really matter anyway

If anything, rather than buying cheap sets that break a week later, I'd get an MIDI and play with that.

I was meaning as far as charts in their own games(like how "Battery" is both in GH:M and RB2)

^Indeed, it's funny because I use to have a comic called "The Inevitable Conclusion of Guitar Hero" which predicted just that except for GH instead of RB :) (the real conclusion is funnier though).

Found it:

I can't wait for that feature. This game is really shaping up and making a name for itself. No doubt that Phase Shift will be a household name in a years time.

just to give a bit of an update as to what to expect in the next version

songs now have a countdown timer in game,
the menus have background music, plays a random song from your song folder,
songlist screen now shows music genre,

and a basic run through of how network play will work

someone will start a server, give out their ip address and people can type that in and connect which brings you to a lobby, the leader of the lobby can pick a song, then the game will automatically scan everyones song folder to find the matching song, if everyone has it you'll be good to go

yea there are bound to be a few unavoidable topics, port forwarding, people with non matching songs and people trying to play under extreme lag conditions wondering why its not working right

server port situation isn't finalised so can't say what it'll use yet

Would you believe this is the one feature I miss most in the commercial games? The little things matter.

In hopes that i dont get called a hypocrite. I am looking forward for your next release. i also like the menu music feature. Im curious, how would it handle a multitrack song from GH or RB?

* @away_xbox straps 15 sticks of TNT to Amak11's body. The display reads [58] seconds.
<@away_xbox> Diffuse the timer by cutting the correct wire. There are 14 wires. They are Green White Peenus Indigo Black Gold Grey Brown Violet Turquoise Teal Magenta Mauve and Yellow.
<Amak11> oh really
<Belisario93> hmm
<Amak11> !cutwire Peenus
<@away_xbox> ...snip....
<@away_xbox> Amak11 cut the Peenus wire. This has defused the timer on the TNT! Just try and get it off you without setting it off, ok?
