They pre-released two songs from the album. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=prLXJdqjQ14&annotation_id=annotation_849997&feature=iv

I only hope it's less disappointing than Snakes was. I'm probably stepping on a lot of toes here, but being a Rush fan for so long, the last album just felt... forced. =\

Oh God no, I'm totally with you on that one. S&A was pretty weak IMO, this one sounds a bit more like Counterparts but it still has the same sound as S&A. The one song is completely progless though. :( Rush is honestly terrible if you eliminate the Prog element.

Train to Bangkok had virtually no prog element. Is it a terrible song?

I liked Snakes and Arrows. Bleh.

Passage to Bangkok? Well that was their earlier stuff. It's not a bad song, but it's a completely different style than their new stuff. Let me clarify, their new sound is boring without prog, at least in my opinion. I honestly hate songs like Working Man and the majority of the stuff on their debut album. It lacks the creativity and progressive flair that their other stuff has.

Today

Attack Attack! - Attack Attack!
MyChildren MyBride - Lost Boy
Whitechapel - A New Era Of Corruption

Later
Parkway Drive - Deep Blue (End of June I think)

The 3 new albums are awesome. Attack Attack is much better (except for the few songs they threw in there that are REALLY bad.) New Whitechapel is good, not too different, but good. MyChildren MyBride isn't to different than their last release, but still good.

A new release from the Order of the Silver Night's leader, Cargest. Amazing black metal, I recommend that you download it even if you're a folk or metal fan, as there's plenty of folk melody and technical guitar to go around for all of you.

That's not what he means. He's saying that Guns N' Roses was a great, influential band in their heyday, and A7X has the same effect, only now in the 21st century rather than the 80's and 90's.
