Renegade by Hammerfall would be **** awesome to do. I can play all of it on guitar. Also, Orion by Metallica would also be pretty cool.

Orion would be pretty cool, though it'd take about 40 takes for me to perfect lol (that's not a complaint btw). Also it's nice because it's an instrumental so we don't need to worry about vocals.

Jdawg, maybe you and raptor can trade off solos, and you can both do rhythm so we can have two guitars.

I personally was thinking of doing some punk, maybe "Take Me Down To The Hospital" by The Replacements ( no tabs for it though ): )

Otherwise, I was thinking we could do a bit of Priest. Exciter from Stained Class (though we'd be playing a bit more metal and faster, like what is played by them on their live album "Unleashed in the East")

A crazy one for Typhus (that doesn't involve any double pedaling or a high BPM) would be Symptom of the Universe by Black Sabbath.

Finally, we could do some Zep. I'm up for Communication Breakdown, or Misty Mountain Hop, or maybe Heartbreaker.

There's a good number of suggestions on top of agreeing to doing Orion.

You dont' have to play all of it in one take. Play bits and peices and peice the track together. That's how I do my recordings.

Yeah I generally play the whole thing through and then overdub/re-do sections where I make mistakes

I am not invited to the Orion fest :(

You know, you could have fun with the covers and change them up a little instead of playing them exactly like the original.

ET I'd be happy with you doing the bass solo on Orion

Yeah the problem is making sure everyone is aware of the changes, but I'm sure we could do it. If anyone has any ideas in that regard feel free to voice them.

How about we play a Christian rock song backwards and at twice the bpm.

My bass has a really different tone from yours though :/

It'd sound quite bizarre.

It wouldn't be that bad for just the solo. The solo of that song was turned up louder than the rest of the bass so I'm sure it wouldn't be that much of a difference. In either case, it doesn't have to be perfect. I've always understood this to be a community band so the more who contribute, the better.
