Charactor creator

I wonder if a guitar hero style charactor creator would be possible. Even if the character just showed up on the choose your character screen and the score screen. It would hard to make the character to appear on stage with all the different stages out there. It would be neat if you could make a character that looks like you appear on there somewhere. Even if it was an online character generator where you can save a .png when your done customizing. And then a folder like the avatars thats currently on fofix to put them in so it shows up like it does now and maybe on other screens as well.

I know you can just get images online and put them in there but not one that looks like yourself. That would be pretty cool.

Have you tried FoFiX? Though its more than profile creator than character creator. But hey, atleast you can choose an image to be the avatar for your profile.

Yeah I mentioned that. But it would be cool if you could make custom characters to apper there, and maybe on the score screen also.

I looked at some avatar creators online but ou cant really do much to them except use a crappy selection of clothing. Nothing like the guitar hero creator where yo9u can change the face and make the character tall or short kinda stuff.

Unless anyone knows a good online creator already where you have lots of options like that where you can save as a .png That would be awsome.

This would involve implementing 3D character models, which will be extremely painful and difficult (note that I am explicitly not saying "impossible," though).

Seems like a waste of resources as well. I'd rather see new gameplay elements rather than an avatar builder.

If you have a GH for PC or either of the next gen systems, build your character and then screenshot it. PC it's easy, and I'm almost positive the 360 has the functionality. I'm not sure on ps3 but it should, i mean really, "it does everything." >.>

either way, if you can't manage that one, the next best char creator i could find online are the southpark character ones. I'm using mine now. xD

Yeah, I found a few online creators like the south park one, they were kinda crappy. But I guess, what can ya do right. haha
Im only stuck with a ps2 right now. Im thinking im going to get myself a ps3 for xmas tho

One with basic 2D images that would overlap a base image, so you could switch shirts, faces, pants, shoes, etc., would be a start. A basic form. It would be better than a simple 2D image for sure.

Yeah, I didnt mean a super fancy 3d one like guitar hero. Just something with more options like guitar hero. With different poses and different style guitars the character can hold and what not. I could help with some of the graphics if I had a template for them. Like different style guitars or something.

That depends on what theme you use. Some themes come with a bunch of avatars, and you can always add more avatars to your data/avatars folder

I agree to a "Dress Me Up: Jurgen" avatar creator.

Just like with the current background animation code, you could have your avatar in the background shake what his mama gave him, but kinda more "sprite-like" (if you catch my drift).
