Thanks qba767, with your information i managed to get it running on Windows XP.

Here's what i did:

1. Start->Settings->Control Panel->Sounds and Audio Devices->Audio tab

2. Look what default device you have for Sound Recording (it was Realtek HD Audio Input for me)

3. Open registry editor Start->run->regedit

4. Find and replace all occurences of your recording device (again "Realtek HD Audio Input" for me) with "Logitech USB Microphone" including both values and key names

Note: If you have never edited registry ask someone who did for help and remember to make a backup copy. I don't guarantee that you won't break your windows that way

hulkster-> I was doing similar things to my gamepads :) Maybe renaming one to the same name as GH controller would make it recognized as a guitar? Who has PS3 or X360 guitar and can tell me controllers name?

I forgot to thank jof from scorehero. He came up with the idea of renaming microphone - http://www.scorehero.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=96537

Original GHWT PC version guitar (the wireless one) is called: "Guitar Hero for PC/MAC"

GH III (the white X-Plorer) is callded: "Controller (Guitar Hero X-plorer )" <- exactly like this, there's no mistake

i've bought it 2 days ago ^^

it run correctly (bit lags sometimes, but i'm disapointed cause i have better than the recomended configuration and i have set my game with minimal setting & resolution :glare: )

on the box, it wrote that the ps3 controller is fully compatible (there are strictely identics but the PC version hasn't the PS logo)

for the custom songs, probably not, because we can't decrypted MID file, so we can't encoded it...
you always have GHTunes with the musics create on the Studio of the game...

I think he is talking about user made songs. Anyway, I wanted to know if I could use an alternative drum kit/guitar (not a GH guitar/drum kit neither a RB one. A differente brand) on GHWT PC. These guitars/drum kits I'm talking about are supossed to be designed for RB 1/2. They are made for the PS2 what I think they'll work with a PS2 to USB converter, right? Will this work?

Greetings

For those who still have questions about the 360 World Tour Drums, it works in the game but badly. I mean I could do 100% on a song but because it doesn't recognize when I hit sometimes I have something like 90%. That's not a small problem, and I don't think it's because it's 360 drums but because the hardware suck maybe. I read that a lot of people had problems with WT drums.

Anyway, someone can say that in this thread.
