1. The new method of initialization refers to how the guitar is initialized inside of the script. It's something I have to do.

2. It could be a problem with GlovePIE, it could be a problem with my script. If your guitar isn't working, then something needs to change. Maybe death_au will know something about the new method of initialization or someone else that is knowledgeable on the subject. As of right now, it seems your guitar is incompatible with my script. That doesn't mean it's incompatible forever, at least, not yet.

3. What's next is that I'm researching this apparently "new method of initialization" so that I can implement it in the script and hopefully it'll work without breaking everything else. Well, right now, I'm actually researching a subject for one of my college classes for an assignment that's due at midnight tonight. DX I'm not sure when I'll get back to the script, but if I can find the new method of initialization and if I can understand it, then I can try to implement it into my script. Unfortunately, my search engine isn't helping... =/

Currently no news. =/ So far, I haven't found anything about getting a Nyko Frontman working (Mainly because I haven't felt like working on the script).

If I can find anything about getting your specific guitar (Nyko Frontman) to initialize properly, I can create a script and you can help me by testing it for problems.

EDIT: Reading up on previous information in the topic...

When you say that your Wiimote works perfectly, do you mean that you can use regular Wiimote scripts in glovePIE without the Nyko Frontman 'tar plugged in?

Also, is there anyone else out there that has a Wii Nyko Frontman guitar, that can confirm this ongoing issue?

I think that's to be expected, since using the Nyko Frontman for FoF on a PC isn't what the people on Nyko had intended for the Frontman to be used for.

I would be surprised if Nyko actually gave you support.

Quick Question,

I am able to select player and instrument in GlovePIE using the GH:WT Guitar, but FoFIX doesn't seem to recognize the controller. None of the buttons seem to work in-game. Any Idea?

Cheers

choose the right buttons on the options menu?

or you could try to run glovepie as administrator

Forgive my tardness if wrong, but I am asuming that the script is setup for the default controls, ie. F1 - Green, F2 - Red etc.

Cheers

WOW AWESOME i thought i would have to buy a wired 360 guitar, but now that doesnt need to happen! all my GH games are on the Wii, so...yea. SWEET just what i needed.
ok: 1st question: how much is a bluetooth adapter???
2nd question: does it have touchstrip support (for the newer guitar included in WT)?
please answer! i dont care who, but id just like to get an idea of if it will be worth it or not.

-- Edit: Thu Mar 04, 2010 9:15 am --

oh, and 3rd question: Does this require any risky modification of any of the equipment, be it PC, controller, or adapter, needed to use the script?

1. Depends. Mine cost $30 at Staples, but you might be able to find cheaper ones.
2. Yeah. I haven't tested the touchstrip too much though, mainly because my guitar's touchstrip is fail, but from what I have tested, it seems to work.
3. Nope. Just a bluetooth adapter with a compatible bluetooth stack, as well as a Wiimote and GHtar/drumset.
