I've downloaded the Microsoft Common Controller 32 bit driver, and when I click on it, it says 'installation did not complete'. Anybody know what my problem might be?

I know it says "installation did not complete", but in case some parts of it did... try uninstalling the drivers... plug in the controller, go into device manager, go into the usb devices and ensure that your controller is getting detected. From there, go into the properties, update drivers and try updating using the Windows Update... see if that works.

I've been using Freetar because I was ticked off that I couldn't get the Guitar going either on Frets on Fire, but I found out how you can get the game to detect the guitar AFTER you install Microsoft Common Controller 32 bit driver or 64.

1.) Open the game

2.) Select Settings >

3.) Select Ket Settings >

4.) Set the key setting using your guitar

5.) Pat yourself on the back.

Pretty simple huh? Do note, you do need Microsoft Common Controller 32(or 64) bit driver installed. It is still installs parts as kuya1284 mentioned even though it claims it's not completed. It happens to be all you really need. Please respond back if there's any problems your still encountering. Your welcome.
