do you mean "give up"? (game will end song and go directly to song select) i want that option back too.

give up is great for making the play screen graphics because you can change/ajust them between songs

end song is nice for ajusting the results screen though :)

if it's because there's too many options in gh3 menus then, can we have a setting to flip the function of that option maybe?

also at some point in the future it would be really nice to be able to position the final text on the results screen in the theme.ini

i.e. play again
continue
quit

neither is a game breaker, the 2.6 build is still running much better for me, (compiled or source) thanks for your consideration and keep up the great work

well yea thats sorta what i meant, but not really, i just asked cuz im playing with alarian mod ,yes im using alarian cuz the new hopo system doesn't regconize the hopo of GH brand noting and hoping, and get the choice to end song whenever i pause it. wondered if that was going to be in this 3.120 RL

...that's already/still there. One of them was removed from GH-based themes by worldrave - I'm not sure why... but they're both in other style themes.

Also, you can move the final text on the results screen already as well. result_menu_x and result_menu_y

You're welcome, or whatever. Were you looking for a different answer?

Anyway, thanks for the link to the Python manual, but it's not terribly applicable.

In other news, this is just a heads up that when I commit the player/input changes I'm working on at the moment, you will need to have pysqlite installed (if you are running python 2.4). It's currently optional for the cache, so if you are using the cache you are set. Also, if you are running Python 2.6, you are already set. I'll make it more obvious (and adjust the required modules page on Google Code) when it's committed, but consider this a warning so you don't get any unexpected crashes.

More details usually help.

By doesn't work, I'm going to assume you mean he doesn't hit all of the notes? Try changing the Jurgen options to one of the MFH On Time options.

Does anyone know if it is possible to run FoFIX from source with Python 2.6 in Linux? I looked at that page for the instructions of Python 2.6 but it only has Win instructions and "Fill in stuff here... " under Linux.

I am currently running it with Python 2.4 but would like to try 2.6 in linux.

EDIT: I just noticed that my package manager only has 2.4, 2.5 and 3.0. No 2.6 Hmm?

Which of course could be a multitude of things.

It could mean Jurgen crashes the game. In which case, post a log.

Could mean that Jurgen isn't playing any notes at all, in which case, make sure you have Jurgen turned on properly and for the correct player. It may also help if you check that Jurgen is Here appears on the screen somewhere, if not, once again, make sure that you have the settings correct.

It could mean that because of the recession, he doesn't have a job, in which case, check out Myspace our Craigslist for Guitar player wanted ads.

The fact of the matter is, you aren't being very specific.

Depends on the distribution and the availability of Python 2.6 packages. That, or your willingness to compile it and the modules yourself.

Depending on your distribution, it could be as simple as installing the python2.6 package and the appropriate modules (should be the same ones that are needed for the windows version.)

*buntu doesn't have python2.6 in any repositories, so unless you want to compile, you will need to stick with 2.4 or 2.5. Compiling isn't tough though, so you could if you wanted to.

Suse comes with python2.6 as default, as do some others.

It basically comes down to installing python2.6 and loading up the modules the game needs, and if the game is missing one, install it too.

No, you are just being an ****... If Jurgen crashed the game I would of said, "Jurgen is crashing my game."

So I will say it again.. Jurgen is not working.. As in it won't work, as in it's not doing anything when I turn it on. Not even the message, "Jurgen is Here."

If no one minds a started another wiki site but this one is dedicated to FOFix i will have links back to this site as well as to googlecode. What i'm asking is if i can upload FOFix with different themes other than the mega light theme. This is for a class project and i decided to make a wiki on FOFix. To any of the FOFix team members i offer an open invitation because after all it is a wiki. The home page is mostly (as in 95%) copy and paste

here it is

fofix.wetpaint.com

* @away_xbox straps 15 sticks of TNT to Amak11's body. The display reads [58] seconds.
<@away_xbox> Diffuse the timer by cutting the correct wire. There are 14 wires. They are Green White Peenus Indigo Black Gold Grey Brown Violet Turquoise Teal Magenta Mauve and Yellow.
<Amak11> oh really
<Belisario93> hmm
<Amak11> !cutwire Peenus
<@away_xbox> ...snip....
<@away_xbox> Amak11 cut the Peenus wire. This has defused the timer on the TNT! Just try and get it off you without setting it off, ok?

This is my first post. Thanks to myfingershurt and all the developers who have made this project a success.

I have read in a few of the earlier posts that the following message was received when trying to run FrestOnFire.exe after running a Python build on the latest svn.

File "FretsOnFire.py", line 38, in ?
File "GameEngine.pyo", line 32, in ?
File "pygame\__init__.pyo", line 185, in ?
File "pygame\surfarray.pyo", line 69, in ?
File "pygame\_numericsurfarray.pyo", line 12, in ?
File "pygame\_numericsurfarray.pyo", line 10, in __load
File "Numeric.pyo", line 93, in ?
File "Precision.pyo", line 26, in ?
File "Precision.pyo", line 23, in _fill_table
File "Precision.pyo", line 18, in _get_precisions
TypeError: data type not understood

I found that if you get the latest py2exe module (py2exe-0.6.9.win32-py2.4.exe) that this error goes away. Give it a try and thanks again for your good work.

No, I'm trying to help you in a situation where most others would ignore your post all together for a lack of details.

As I said in my previous post, if the "Jurgen is Here" image is not appearing in-game, then check your settings. I would almost bet you have it off or set to Player 2.
