I despise the GHWT engine with a passion. The graphics, the hit window. The tapping crap. God, does it suck/is useless.

Seriously, the graphics look like a GH:OT rip and the hit window seems like it's behind the note...the tapping harbey effects the game either. Besides making Satch more passible, it's just for show.

They'll put about 30-50 songs on it... Out of 200+ songs which are actually mostly pretty good (especially if you include the GH2-360 songs... Yes, that includes Dead.)

I'm excited for this. I've emailed Neversoft and Activision about this type of project countless times. Except i wanted them to make a tool to turn the songs into dlc. I kept on getting same response from both of them "We don't get information on any upcoming titles" or i get redirected me to the guitar hero site. i'm glad somethings happening to bring these titles into the new age of guitar hero. All of my favorites were on GH encore rock the 80's. this will be sweet. I think i will be realeased in June or July, around that area.

Guitar Hero Greatest Hits may be another way for activision to make money of us, but its not completely horrible.

They will be taking songs from all the past Guitar Hero games, including the ones with no drums or mic, and adding those instruments for the songs.

Its not just a simple repackageing of material. They are adding functionality for songs also. There are many songs I would want to play on drums that were on Guitar Controller only games.

I can say i will be buying this game.

You think what you want. But they already have the song "One" in GH Metallica. that song will sorta prove whether Guitar Hero Greatest Hits will be a hit or miss. Sites that i go to for game release dates all say that this guitar hero comes out in December. I can wait.
