I basically just found the stuff for this stage lying around somewhere, so I would like to credit it properly...

LOL this is the default stage for GZ2. I thought you knew that well anyway I wouldn't worry cause you could just make another easy if they get upset.

THere has been a lot of GZ2 files floating around here that someone put up and nobody else noticed. I wouldn't use anything from there if only because Activision is going through legal things with them. Frets on Fire may be next to get temperarily pulled down.

Hmm... In that case, whenever I get around to updating the sounds for this theme I'll separate the download for the animated stage at least. I spent quite a bit of work to animate it, so I don't want to just drop it entirely... But if I need to then it's a separate download and I can just delete the link.
...Have to make those sounds first, though.

this is a really cool 8-bit theme. only thing that i dont like is crowd cheering sound. it sounds weird.
but really awesome though, one of my favorites themes now

I basically recorded some crowd sounds from some existing NES games (namely soccer and Blades of Steel) and mixed them up a bit. It's what crowds sounded like on an 8-bit NES

@ everyone - Thanks for your praise. This theme is receiving a better reception than I'd hoped.

crowd should be the crowd sound from "Aussie Rules" and if you fail it should say "Out of bounds..." that NZ umpire was the funniest shiet ever.

I just checked that game out. That ref is pretty annoying after a while. "Out of bounds, on the full" lol. And I never scored even a behind in an entire game
The crowd's noise is a little to short. Looping it would sound weird. It is a pretty good 8-bit crowd though.

the game is amazing when you play with 8 people in a tourniment :P
