Controller Rockstar: Rock out with your Controller!

Hey guys, I just got my first mod out, its for a Controller I made a website for it: http://www.controlrocker.webs.com
There I will post news, Updates, and more. I am also working on a Drums mod it will be unique tho. As in the Drums mod you would Strum with the foot pedal and there would be only 4 pads... Their both sceduled to be released before next week and should make Frets on fire Fans very happy. (Note I have only tested the Private beta for Controller Rock star with a Logitech Cordless Rumble pad 2.) So I havent tested it with anything else but I'm sure some of you could try it out once I release the beta.

I will also give a control Page soon.

I don't get it. Doesn't FoFiX already do this? (meaning you can use the code from there as a mod for vanilla FoF).

Unless I got it wrong he's trying to add a auto strum feature soo it'll be easier to play with controllers. There's no way to recognize the difference between a normal controller and a guitar like controller (well i guess that the name can hint it out on windows but that's not the case on other plattforms that fof supports), and will most likely be regarded as a cheat by the general public (much like the negative attitude towards GH2 Sloppy).

I never got the impression of auto-strum, but if so that is something different.
Because there is no way to differentiate between controllers, you can already use any old controller the system recognizes (I count on this to use a ppjoy virtual joystick to map my wii guitar to).

Welcome to Controller Rock star. Controller Rock star is a mod made by Golden mods for Frets on Fire. With Controller Rock star (Beta) you can rock out on your Controller without having to use the Keyboard. We are also currently working on a Mod and driver for the Drums and guitar. The drums are in Private beta and still have some glitches I must work out. As for the Guitar, one of the Other team members is working on it. There is currently a video that shows me playing Frets on Fire with the Controller, you can see some of the glitches. Currently we have only tested this with the Cordless Rumble pad 2 from Logitech. The drivers will be available for download before next week. The drum Rocker and Controller Rock star will be released around the same time (Both having Drivers) So, here is the video of the Game play for the Controller Rock Star.

I think he want to make the controller like GH, RB and anything else works on FOF. That's already implemented in the vanilla FoF.

If you had watched the video you would have seen that there's no delay between when the fret is held and when it's picked.

having a strum assigned to every key will be very impractical on chords (hey I just strummed a four note chord 4 times!).

YES! IF THIS IS WHAT I AM CAPS LOCKING FOR I LOVE IT!!!!!

I love you man! if you can master a way for auto strum you will be a god among a few kids! and i AM one of those kids,
I love Amplitude Frequency and DDR. Thing is! My laptop is just shy enough to run FOF. and it just doesn't compare to playing with a USB guitar on my tv cause everything is choppy and laggy, SO I don't want to invest in a guitar controller when I already have an abundance of PS2 controllers.
Don't tell us Controller Rockstars We're cheating, You can do the same thing on GH2 and GH3 on Xbox 360. In fact it is an achievement in 3 if I recall correctly.



I won't feel as guilty running a crappy rig and playing with what I already own.

I still cant get Xpadder or ControlMK to properly fake it, nor can I find any setting in RF mod or FoFix.

Now is this special FOF mod Code? or is this an external map for you game pad?
