I'm not dead!
Well, I'm at least somewhat alive.
I had ended my last job and started a new one mid year and it's been a bit hectic since then. I'd had less time to work on FoF than I had hoped, but I tried to do it on planes and in hotels around the world that I generally travel to. But i have been working on it. Various loading and caching improvements, as well as rewriting a few of the subsystems and rolling in some of the early changes that are now in FoFIX.
I went out and made some purchases to make sure I got my ass in gear for FoF. I picked up a GHWT and RB2 band set. There's several things I'm continuing to work on
1) Overall improvements to the code
2) Integration of a lot of the functionality in FoFIX into the main FOF branch. I still need to talk to MFH et al about this
3) Swapping out of some of the graphics libraries
4) As much instrument support as possible
5) Vocal support
6) Ever elusive multiplayer
7) Restructuring of the world charts, scores, and how they are done.
Fairly high level things, but you know how it is. Among those things above as New years resolutions, I am also going to try to read the forums on a regular basis. I'd been incredibly lax in that and it's easy to get behind.
Also I'm going to be at an event later this month for FoF (see upcoming post)

Awesome man!
Looking forward to see your work again. =D
Also, if you need any help with the scorechart improvement I'm here. :)
I've been working some on a scorechart, mainly for learning porpuses, but I'm feeling a bit more confident, and would love to see some new stuff. I know for certain that Divra is not one to be stubborn on old stuff and he's often open for new experiments, so if you need any help on the server side, there's help to get.

It's not like I dislike sleeping, I really do like it to be honest. It's the whole wake up/go to sleep business I don't like.

Well, I'm too new to remember you, but nonetheless, I have high hopes for your upcoming projects.

So will there be two in-development forks of FretsonFire, or are forces going to combine to work on the original fork?

Well if you look around a bit you'll see that he did one hell of a mod, and got accepted as the project developer when unreal voodoo moved on, and also that fofix, aliran, uc-mod are based on rf-mod. :)

*Pulls up in a hearse*
Did someone call for a--Oh crap he's alive?
On a serious note, I remember the RF-Mod and how much it improved the original FoF.

Since "DragonFail" "sucks" so much, I won't post anything related or about them any longer.

Re: I'm not dead!
Wait, he did RF-MOD? That was my favorite mod before I found FoFIX (Alarian at the time, back when 2.995 first came out) Anyway, I look forward to seeing the next RF-Mod version!!!
