it was the song listing mode. it works now but i see all the different folders, which makes the sorting almost useless. i thought i would see all of the songs in one group. i guess thats what "list all" is? that not working yet?
well it work fine for me using quickplay
i set
"song list display = RB2"
"song listing mode = list all"
"quicktier = sorting"
my whole song folder will be grouped together without folder choosing but it needs nearly 1 minute to read ans organize my whole collection

im using at the moment only this settings
"song list display = RB2"
"song listing mode = normal"
"quicktier = sorting"
because its faster and you can nevitage through your folders but the songs within the folder will be grouped

Re: MFH Mod (FoFiX) 3.0xx (v3.030)
I just tested the newest beta with Python 2.5 and the results are similar to what I mentioned earlier. Single-OGG songs work just fine but multi-OGG songs cause FoFiX to exit with an error (in the older Python 2.5 build the game just froze). I don't know if this will be any use but here is the resultant log file for one of my tests:

nope. with that combination i get a "choose a new song folder" screen when i go to play and as ive said before when i do choose the song folder it just sets me back at the main menu to start again. i wonder what the problem is? what os are you running? at least im not the only one with the same problem. "sebku" also has it.
btw. other than this issue the game is running awesome, i love it. great work everyone :)
Re: MFH Mod (FoFiX) 3.0xx (v3.030)
So. I played and played and played and every time, after I finished one song and start the second, the game shuts down. To be more exactly: while loading the second song it shuts down.
Heres the log file from the last time:
EDIT:
Up to rev599 it worked fine, i.e. I was able to play more than one song per session.

Eeek, that's a lot of errors. I don't know what exactly is going on but it is complaining a lot about the resolution early on.
Try going into your fretsonfire.ini and changing the "resolution =" to something you know you can run, like 1024x768. Otherwise, try reinstalling the patch an see if there's something else going wrong, like a file maybe not installed that should be.
---- EDIT ----

It's complaining about the notes-unedited.mid, try going to performances/debug > debug options > setting notes-unedited.mid to off.
Also, are you using an animated background? That might do it too. Try turning that off.

well i usually use the alpha tester package but i even patched my old 3.030 to 3.035 b2 and it works even there fine. did you updated your rock band 2 theme?
Re: MFH Mod (FoFiX) 3.0xx (v3.030)
No, the notes unedited.mid-option is not the problem. I disabled it, and still trying to start the second song the game shuts down, now it shuts down while countdown.
Here is the log:
EDIT: And I am not using animated backgrounds either.

Re: MFH Mod (FoFiX) 3.0xx (v3.030)
Ok, just made the code changes for the proper alignment and menu items for GH3 pause menu. Also, got around and changed the coding for the GH3 view. Now i'm moving forward to make the proper calculations to redo the frets to properly offset the skewing and height adjustments that FoF does to the image normally.

Re: MFH Mod (FoFiX) 3.0xx (v3.030)
I've had the same issue as NewCreature. Turns out single-track songs work fine with tinidude's python 2.5 FoFiX betas, but multi-track songs cause it to freeze or crash (with a "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way" message). No errors in the log.
Perhaps a compatibility issue with PyOgg or PyVorbis?
@worldrave: Nice job! looking good!

Re: MFH Mod (FoFiX) 3.0xx (v3.030)
I think having the default resolution as 1600x1200 is a bad idea. My monitor does not support that kind of resolution and FoFiX just closes with an error saying it can't use 1600x1200. The default res should be 640x480. I should not have to explain why.

Re: MFH Mod (FoFiX) 3.0xx (v3.030)
I would highly disagree. Minimum should be at least either 800x600 or honestly at least 1024x768. I would never choose a standard for anything that matches the same resolution of my cellphone. It's not 1990 anymore. Sometime's you gotta walk 'Old Yeller' out to the field. That's just my opinion. But 640x480 on a computer now of days is simply way to low to tolerate, even for old machines.
