yes i am going to make some new keys options for sorting keys, i just wanted to get that out before the beta. thanks for all the feedback guys glad you guys are enjoying sorting. and i guess we do need to add lead and rhythm in sometime for songs that use it, we like to cover all the bases around here.

This topic is bumped numerous times a day so maybe it might not need to be stickied but maybe other stickies will get visibility if this topic is pinned as well :wink:
But seriously, it is THE hot topic of the Mod Discussion forum, I believe it deserves to be pinned.

Is it normal that "random song" doesn't have his album.png (the picture with random song) ?

Folder Indicator....

Postby KillerQ » Sun Dec 21, 2008 12:13 pm

Hey all,

I just thought of something.

Right now, the only thing that differentiates an actual song file from a sub folder in the song lists is that the songs have the smaller font song info posted below them.

I think it would be a nice idea (cleaner, and easier to navigate) if the folder lines had a small icon to the left of the folder. It would just save some time when navigating, I believe. Here's an example:

This is one of my song folders (...Songs/Custom Songs). Inside are individual song files as well as additional sub folders. At first glance, the folders are hard to spot.:

Now here is an example of how a single, simple icon could clear things up when you want to fly through your collection.:

I hope this helps,

Thanks,

Matt!
I'm happy with my Ion Rocker kit and Roland KD-8 double bass kick trigger!

Ok ffs. :biggrin:

I have managed to correct this problem by adding the following line to GuitarScene.py (line 3471, rev 619)

else:
self.engine.data.starActivateSound.play() <----- Added This Line
self.guitars[num].starPowerActive = True #QQstarS:Set [0] to [i]

overdrive sound now plays fine, seems like the code was removed when doing stuff for coop in rev 604
...the pain

KillerQ, nice idea - however it may be unnecessary from what I can recall. Song library folders are always bumped / sorted to the top, so you'll always have to scroll through your folders to get to your songs. They shouldn't be intermingled together. Unless the new sorting options sort more than just songs...

3.035 beta 2 will be released shortly, I'm just attempting to finish up a first version of the line-by-line MIDI lyric display beforehand.

LameAxe, nice catch, I'll commit that change along with my next code update.

Figure - drum solos work fine everywhere else, right? I probably won't have time to go through the new RB Co-Op code, as I didn't write it... hopefully that can be located and fixed before the beta.

(hey, a stickied thread!)
