lol wtf i thought milisecond is 1/100 of a sec... and for u who said milisecond is 1/1,000,000... THIS IS WHY U SUK AT MATH!

i just checked on wikipedia and milisecond is really 1/1000 of a second. i wonder why most people think its 1/100 and some dumbasses think its 1/1,000,000

you dont see people using the term "centisecond"

ahh its all coming together now

decade=10years=1/10 second
century=100years=1/100 second

you don't do conversion that way :;): you don't divide, you multiply. like, how many millimeters in meter, 1m * 1000mm/1m = 1000 millimeters , the unit simplify (m) and remain only millimeters

In french we say:
un = 1 -> s
dix = 10 -> decisecond
cent = 100 -> centisecond
mille = 1000 -> millisecond

it makes much more sense that a ms is a 1000th of s in my language

and for those wondering, am not from France but from Quebec in Canada

milli- (symbol m) is a prefix in the SI and other systems of units denoting a factor of 10−3, or 1/1,000.

Adopted in 1795, the prefix comes from the Latin mille, meaning one thousand (the plural is milia).

The root word is latin, and means 1000. Million simply means a thousand 1,000, or 1,000 times 1,000.

1,000,000

SYX says: the reason it makes sense in French is because they invented the metric system. Also, the same prefix(centi, milli, deca) apply to all units of metric mesurement from distance to volume. Also, everything is divided/multiplied by base 10 so its easy to learn, METRIC RULES!!

A friend of mine (Space Yoshi X) asked me to post that for him.
