Dream Theater's live cover of Master of Puppets is pretty good.

Some of the best covers I've heard:
- Random Pretty Fly (for a White Guy) Dancemania cover. Cover singer sounds like if Dexter was performing it live. Song cuts off early, but still captures all the fun of the original song.
- Wavegroup's cover of Search and Destroy for GH2. Partly because the master track sounds like it has a 32kbps bitrate.
- Metallica's cover of Die Die,My Darling. People can try to polish a turd, but Kirk and co. took the turd that is the misfits, removed all impurities, removed all smell, filtered and took the undigested chemicals to actually have something that should've replaced just about any song on Load/ReLoad.

Metallica's Stone Cold Crazy cover is great

Nuclear Assault's cover of the Happy Days theme is amazing

Iron Maiden's covers of songs like My Generation and Communication Breakdown are all great and hilarious at the same time

Machine Head - Battery (Metallica cover)
VERY NICE. Machine Head makes awesome covers. Their cover of House of Suffering is a great song in my opinion- I couldn't find a video of that one. :(
