It's great to see a new version of FOF out!
However, it doesn't seem to want to run on my Mac (PPC - 12" PBG4). It fails with an error on load. here's the terminal output:
Not sure exactly what that means, but from googling I suspect that it may be an Intel/PPC compile flag issue. Unless it's just me...

Do you think we would have fof if guitar hero didn't exist? This IS a guitar hero clone.
*looks at screenshots*
OOOH WHAMMY!
or not. April fools? guess we will know what whammy will look like if it's implemented.
The hopo mechanics do feel pretty strange, some of them are really spaced out. I don't have any problems with having to do a hopo. If you strum when you don't have to, some of you are having a double strum issue to where it resets the counter? IF that happens to me, I strummed late, and would have missed anyway.
I promptly disabled the stage thing, but was greeted by flames that 'jump' at me every time I hit a note. I don't know which is worse.
I was definitely expecting more out of this release. I can't wait to see what RF mod 3 will offer........
How to fix this problem?

This happens when I set the buffer size 65536, if it's lower notes don't go in real time... hope you understand this.

I've got a different problem:
That's the Linux full version. And yes, I've got pyxml and expat installed, through the Debian package python-xml (or am I missing something?).
The update plainly segfaults (according to ltrace within PyEval_EvalCode()).

I'm sure we are going to have to make new note skins because of the differences between the regular and Ho/Po notes.
anyone have a theory about this
is it just that the notes don't have HO/PO version, or is it something diffrent?
i think its cuz its missing some type of file. other then that maybe theres no HOPO version like u said. nobody knows for now, at least i dont
but this would be cool for a mario mod, like the keys are outlines of marios
ya, but it's harder to hit the notes, kinda, like in the super fast solos
