Feature request: Being able to paste into the menu text boxes (ie. song folder path, or perhaps adding a folder browse control instead of having to type it in).
Also, perhaps the "Frets" string in the song properties could keep the last used name, as for many/most of us, we don't change our fretting name from song to song.
Edit:
Bug report: In the song I'm working on, I tried to select a run (click, SHIFT+click) of 7 notes (highlighted in red boxes) and lower them by one (see picture linked below).
http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a354/raynebc/eof132_note.jpg
However I noticed that it wouldn't let me do so. Experimenting found that if that first green note was selected in the run, I couldn't move them up or down with the arrow keys, even if I used CTRL+click to de-select any of the 7 notes first. But if I selected a run of any of the other 6 and then added the first note with CTRL+click, the glitch was defeated. CTRL+clicking to select each one at a time also worked. This must be some bug in the select code, or a glitch with that note in general. I have PM'd you the EOF file, song, etc. that is experiencing this problem.
Edit again:
This glitch did not persist after I reloaded the EOF file, so killing this bug might be a bit tricky..
Edit yet again:
I imported a MIDI for a FoF song that had a negative midi offset. EOF imported the notes and the clap works, but the metronome doesn't work under these circumstances. This is where a workaround for negative midi offsets by inserting silence at the beginning of the ogg would be useful. Not sure how easy that would be to implement though.

I don't remember if this was requested yet, but perhaps in the instrument part selection, an indicator (ie. a ball, asterisk, etc) could be displayed next to parts that have notes in them (ie. PART_GUITAR, PART_RHYTHM). Perhaps this could be implemented with the difficulty tab display as well. This would be a quick and easy way to check what had been fretted in a song instead of seeking all throughout the chart checking for notes, especially if removing "fake notes" from a Score Hero chart, etc.
Edit:
Bug report:
Somehow, a chart position got to the point where EOF started displaying odd values for the length
http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a354/raynebc/eof132_length.jpg
If I delete that last note and place it again (note 501), it has a tail as I expect, but EOF automatically selects a different note number (668) and displays the negative length glitch and while EOF has this note selected I can lower the length quite a bit more, but it has a cap at -6750. Re-clicking the note to select note 501 and then using the scroll wheel will cause 668 to be selected again, but its length won't change. It only changes on note delete, place and wheel. That first instance where EOF causes it to be selected after letting EOF auto-select the last placed note (501) and immediately adjusting the length.
If I reopen the song, I can still select the last note in PART GUITAR and reproduce this glitch. I have noticed that this glitch only applies to using the scroll wheel. Adjusting the length with as '[' and ']' do not cause this glitch to occur.
I have PM'd you the files that have this glitch. Just select the last note in PART GUITAR, delete it, place any note/chord at exactly the same spot (1/16 measure before the beat immediately before 3:20, if you place it elsewhere, the bug is defeated).

Try looking at the MIDI in another program such as Anvil Studio and see if the notes have an actual duration.

Hmm, it's weird, I opened them in MIDI editor and they look fine, and so do they in EOF. It's just in FOF they look cut off

Okay.
I have a bug to report. (sorry if it has been mentioned before)
I have had this problem with testing the song.
Everytime I click the link in EOF to test a song, it brings up FOF then it closes FOF.
It didn't do this before with this version.
I havn't changed anything, but the version of my MFH-alarian mod.
I think, out of all the coding changes that happened over the past month, that something made this feature go out of wack. I have tested this on two computers that are completely different, besides the fact that their dell.
Has anyone else had this problem?
If not I guess I will just completely remove EOF from my computer and download it again.

An idea for a feature:
The ability to offset all notes forward or backward by the specified number of milliseconds. There are times when I rip another track for the song that has a different amount of silence at the beginning, and I frequently fret using instrumental tracks and then swap the ogg for the with vocal track. Both scenarios often require me to adjust the midi offset, and then I have to select all notes and try to adjust their placement properly. Since I know the difference between both MIDI offsets, being able to just delay all notes by the same amount of time would be an easy way to adjust for this.

It has to do with the notes being sorted as they are created. I forgot to update the selected note after the sort occurs. I will fix it.
Alright, don't know if it's been mentioned before, but here's a problem I discovered: sometimes I put long notes in EOF, but they appear as short ones in FOF, just dots with no tails.
You probably have overlapping notes. If two notes are placed at the exact same position, the note will appear short in FOF. Try deleting the offending notes in EOF and replacing it.
Everytime I click the link in EOF to test a song, it brings up FOF then it closes FOF.
If you have upgraded EOF without deleting your config file you may have to relink it to your copy of FOF. If the song folder is not set up correctly, FOF won't find the song and will close.

I'm going to make it so when you change the MIDI offset EOF will ask if you want to adjust all the notes.
The new version is coming along nicely. I haven't responded to everything posted here but I am working on fixing all the bugs and adding the new features everyone is asking for. It will hopefully be ready late next week.

I didn't mean that I upgraded EOF, I ment I have upgraded FOF and I have relinked it several times...
Still can't get it too work...

Well, I'll keep messing with it and maybe it will start working.

Sweet! That will work nicely!
I was trying out a Wii homebrew Guitar Hero clone called Guitarfun:
http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Homebrew_apps/Guitarfun
and it doesn't support chart delay. Is it feasible to make a feature in EOF that will use the midi offset to chop off the audio before the first beat mark, change the midi offset to zero, re-align the notes to the chart and export the new ogg? Or should I just manually edit the ogg outside of EOF and resync the chart afterwards?

The thing is, I don't have overlapping notes. I tried deleting them completely and making new ones but they still show up as short ones. But what's bugging me is that it happens in particular spot: there's identical section in another part of the song, but the notes are fine there, it's just in that one spot. Anyway, I'll try to mess around with them and see if I can find a solution
