blazing you hit the hit window for gh2 right on the head. and i think its safe to say wolfe managed to pretty much match the rockband one. so here's an idea...we should rename the hit windows like this (this would be good for noobs who want the game to be like there favorite game)

wide - gh 3
standard - FoF standard
tight - FoF tight
blazingamer's tight - gh 2
wolfe's tight - rock band

also, this is sort of off topic, but is there a way to implement sounds for certain notes (for example, in the guitar hero games they have a different sound for missing HoPos than they do strummed ones)? if not i wont cry over it, i think itd be pretty sweet tho.

godf*ckingdamnit...

Wide = GH3
Standard = GH2
Tight = -GH2 (- = tighter than)
Blaz Tight = RB
Wolf Tight = -RB

Honestly you guys, Standard is WAY closer to GH2 than you're giving it credit for (and trust me, I play a lot of GH2.)

Can we change the window selection to maybe a slider going from tight -> wide rather than a list, I'm sure it would make more sence than trying to match it to different guitar games, as everyone has their own opinion!

edit: sorry I mean 'there isnt much use trying to match it to different guitar games, as everyone has their own opinion!'

So at least for me 'loose, tight, uber-tight, g-string' as it is now makes more sence than 'GH1, GH2, GH50, Rock flange etc'

For a quick & dirty 'slider' you could replace the text with something like this:
[]====
=[]===
==[]==
===[]=
====[]

Bit of a hack but it would work :laugh:

Insanely Tight = -RB

I've noticed a fairly bad memory leak after playing the game just now, I've not plaid it for ages but I've just tried it with the latest v2.911 patch:

At title menu - 87MB
Select song, paused at beginning - 291MB
Finish song and back at select menu - 290MB
Select new song, paused at beginning - 480MB
Finish song and back at select menu - 454MB
Select new song, paused at beginning - 654MB
Finish song and back at select menu - 652MB
Select new song, paused at beginning - 862MB

etc.

The memory is only released when I select 'Apply Settings' in the options menu.

I disabled stages which helped with the amount of memory used but the memory leak is not solved:
At title menu - 91MB
Select song, paused at beginning - 120MB
Finish song and back at select menu - 169MB
Select new song, paused at beginning - 200MB
Finish song and back at select menu - 197MB

and so on.

So it seems we have an issue releasing memory used by images, but not limited to the stage backgrounds. I've noticed the game starts to slow down after you've been playing a while now but I cant say when this bug occurred as I haven't actually bothered to look into it closely before now!

I'm using GH3 theme if thats any help!

[]====
=[]===
==[]==

I know that it's that way. Somehow, trinidude's getting ALL the source for this, which I need. And right as soon as I try, he does it!

You need all the source code? You would just have to download rf-mod 4 and then copy the source code in the hotfixes over the rf-mod source.

Also, here is 2.911 for Mac:

EDIT:
could some one please re add that mod? i rather enjoy it,
also is there a way to make it so ( if you added that mod) that the exe file is combined with the regular fof ex file?

Well, after talking a little more, This new FoF Team is ALSO doing a lot with the graphics side of things as well, and not just coding. Also, it's not anymore a 'Rock Band' mod focus, but actually putting focus back on the Guitar Hero mod's side of things, which is why i decided to come back from a break.
No big deal really. I personally would really rather see one big team of people working together. Not too many cases show when something spits into two with software that turn out for the best. But, either way, let's get moving on this. :)

@Maze2234
What does "everything made so far is by Alarian team, FAIL" mean? That hurts, since i was one of the members, and things were really kicking but for a while, with a lot of great things added and fixed.

Jordan started a break Off to make better Fixes, and That's what we are doing.
Than iamnoob makes His own team AFTER Jordan

Ive been making fixes for this mod before anyone decided they could code.

Becides we are a team. Not someones team.

Just stop talking about this.

This stuff takes me back 20 years ago to my high school days. Who honestly cares about who did what 1st. You already said both teams are doing different things, so it shouldn't have anything to do with things. I'm not a person that ever takes sides, which is why i don't mind helping everyone out, if it's for the best interests. .
But i would rather not see any anamosity starting because of personal differences. Let's forget about the whole 2 teams, and get back to enjoying making making these things better. :)

PS- I'd still love to form and colaborate as one big team. Possibilities would be endless. Coding/Graphics, we all mostly want the same greatness in the end. :)
