Rock Revolution is an upcoming music video game developed by Zoë Mode and HB Studios for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo DS and Wii. The game will be published by Konami. It was first revealed on May 15, 2008.[1] It is similar to games such as Guitar Hero and Rock Band, as the player plays along with music on specialized controllers directed by on-screen instructions. The controller will be a Guitar and Drum set peripheral on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, while the Wii version will use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk for "an air-drum and air-guitar experience."[1] The DS version will utilize gestures performed on the touch screen, and will also support vocals using the system's internal microphone.
Like the upcoming Guitar Hero World Tour, the game will also include a mode in which players can create their own tracks, along with a free form mode that lets players experiment with their musical instrument of choice.
Rock Revolution is unrelated to Konami's other guitar and drum simulation games, DrumMania and Guitar Freaks, which have been popular in Japan as well as in North America through importing.
Yes, I know this is a repeat but let's discuss.
and NOW another one. Exclusively only for the DS and the Wii... "Ultimate Band"
Read the wikipedia article here.
Ultimate Band allows players to play guitar, drums, bass or be the front man in a band (though vocals are not supported).[1] The Wii version follows the fortunes of an upstart rock band, with the player building the career of their customizable character, unlocking bonus songs, venues and accessories.[2]
Unlike other music games, Ultimate Band forgoes the use of specialized peripherals such as guitar and drum controllers, relying mainly on the Wii Remote and Nunchuk for the Wii version, and the touch screen and stylus for the DS version. For example, to play notes on guitar in the Wii version the player must press a button combination on the Nunchuk while strumming the Wii Remote up and down.[1] The DS version will also allow players to create and record their own songs,[2] and have greater song customization options.[1]
Ultimate Band features support for Disney Interactive's DGamer community network.[3]
Looks like everyone is trying to get into the music game business. With Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero World Tour coming out, do we really need these two other games?
Now, Discuss!!!!!!!
